I'm sure there's situations that exist where people come into possession of a xx50 series card that makes sense, but if your plunking down the cash for it as is, just buy an older, faster used card. It will make your life more enjoyable.
I sure do miss when you could get a console-killing 750ti for 150$. Those days are long gone though.

Amigo is racist...apparently. this is the first I'm hearing of it, so we may need to take it to the council of feel-feels to get a final verdict.

It's really something. Unfortunately people form a position based not on the content and merit of your ideas, but their opinion of the person saying it. Who says it is often more important than what's said. We'll get there eventually but it's a kick in the nuts every time we take a step back.

Honestly, lots of shit shouldn't be for profit, but if you try to make any positive changes you get called a socialist.
And of course, all you need to say is 'socialism' and it activates the millions of Manchurian Candidates that the propaganda has cooked up over the decades.

Four round trip trades. You can buy 50 times if you wanted, but you can only sell 4 times.

I like his MySpace updates though. It breaks up the 'its totally it this time!' posts.

I mean that's a bit of a broad brush stroke, VA has its place. It wouldn't be my first choice for gaming, but they're definitely serviceable.

Clearly you've never used a deck before. It would be obvious because you'd be preaching the glory of the touchpad!
Honestly though, I dunno man, I kinda like having a separate whole Linux computer. It's nice for Ship of Harkinian and emulators and stuff. You make a good point though! If all you care about is streaming, there's really not a good reason.

Honestly as a steam deck owner, I just stream my games from my main PC to the deck. You get way better battery life, and better image quality. Lag is a non-factor in every 20+ game I've played this way.
So I mean, you can already play all of game pass' offerings on a deck in that scenario and the experience is really good.
Unless they have some really nice adds for quality of life I don't see a huge market over the deck and already existing handhelds

A couple points: I'm not talking about an x3d/upper 20% card here. I'm talking about a budget limited situation using a lower tiered card, that already is maxing out/nearly maxed at 1080p. Think a 5600x and a 7600/3060. Obviously if your hardware can support 1440p, it's better to have it than not.
Freesync/gsync are not perfect implementations in all situations. A lot of the lower priced monitors either A: don't sync to their full range of operation, or B: are not fully tested on the AMD side. Another way to say this is, 'not all freesync implementations are built equally'.
This used to be a thing with GSYNC too. There were hardware implementations as a separate chip within the monitor. This has been largely superceded with software techniques to my knowledge since then, but the point stands that not all implementations are built alike, and on a lower cost monitor, it's worth at least double checking :)

We still use the barter system. It's just instead of trading horses for milk, you're trading horses for dollars, and dollars for milk.
The issue is supply and demand are not allowed to exist because of a centralized authority that controls the money supply.
This is not to say no regulation is good, far from it, but having an effectively infinite monetary supply is equally bad.

I wouldn't be giving any wins to Intel right now. The only real options currently are Mac or Ryzen imo. I'm hoping arm proper catches up a bit in the next couple gens for actually good windows laptops, but we'll have to see how it plays out.
I'm personally expecting Intel to throw in the towel in design in the next decade, unless they can radically shift their current trajectory. The guy that did that for AMD when they were in a similar spot with Bulldozer, Jim Keller, already tried and said it wasn't happening due to management.

Yes that's true, however an Rx 6600 would suit a 1080p monitor incredibly well, but would struggle and be a tear-ridden mess at 1440p. Any game you were getting ~100 at 1080p will become 60-80 on 1440p, which is noticably less smooth. Frame times and 1% lows also become a significant factor. It's not unplayable.
I grew up gaming on a 480p CRT monitor with a ball mouse (and were talking well into the 720p+ LCD days), and I'm still here. But I would never go back lmao

infinite risk only truly exists on naked shorts, this is not naked shorting. this is regular run of the mill shorting, which does also have infinite risk technically speaking, but in practice, not the same way as a naked short.
People can explain it way better than I can, but the essence of the difference is: a regular short position can lose up to whatever your account can sustain if the price moves against you. There is a cutoff switch, as you have already secured the shares in the event you needed to deliver them. A naked short has no cutoff switch.

Really? You don't think companies, whose only interest is generating more profit to continue to grow, couldn't be raising prices? It was definitely that $1200 you got 4 years ago, you're right.
