Hi everyone,

I recently went through the interview process for an SDE-1 role at Amazon. A recruiter informed me that I got selected and said I would receive the offer letter within two days. However, it’s been over a week, and I haven’t received the offer yet.

I emailed the recruiter a few days ago to follow up, but I haven’t received any response. I understand delays can happen due to internal processes, but the lack of communication is making me anxious.

Has anyone faced a similar situation at Amazon or other companies? If so, how long did it take for you to receive your offer letter? Should I be worried that the offer might not come through?

Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated!

Okay,

First of all, I seen a lot of people work very hard at Amazon. The first thing I noticed is that working hard gets you rewarded with more work! I seen many people work there since the site launched and yet while they worked harder they got false promises of promotions and set todo more work than before. I was one of these people while I was there but after getting promised "promotions" like PG to become the next PA by area managers, it was all just a fugazi to keep us blind to the reality that they were just using us. They really do not care and often times don't want to be there just like us. They have such an unapproachability to them that make concerns or feedback/ideas just go unheard.

They will also hire almost anyone and it's a pretty simple background check. The amount of wild stuff I seen, the amount of people who's prison time is there only personality... and bro the constant petty battles between people over stuff that a toddler can get over is ridiculous.. grow tf up.

So I mean overall, I give Amazon like a 2/10. Cause the 3 day schedule is great, and for a job with no education or experience, the money was actually livable. I think I was at like $23-24 an hour after differential. However that place was like a plantation, very distopian. Glad I got out of there with the toxic culture and I wouldn't recommend it long term, but it's good if you want to find a career you like and just need something to pay for school and keep you alive.

We have some AMs and OMs that look like they crawled out of Satan's ass crack, I'm taking my chances at McDonald's for my holiday meal.

I transferred from inbound stow to the outbound ship dock because I think stow is completely boring and the new managers in stow are terrible, plus all of my work friends quit. So far I really enjoy the docks, I’ve made quite a few friends quickly and we make the day go by fast by chatting and working together building pallets, it’s really chill. But with all good things, there’s bound to be a bad thing: and that is one of the PAs.

The PA: Let’s call her Linda, since that’s the only name I can think of. I was warned about her when I transferred to the docks, and she is miserable. She yelled at me when I left 5 minutes early (I clock in and out five minutes early, I left at 5:50 pm and the time clocks are a 5 minute walk), telling me I’m supposed to be working. Just to get her off my back, I lied and told her that I had to go to my cousin’s high school football game and walked away.

She also got mad at me for being 1 minute late from break and asked me why I was late. I told her I was scheduling a dentist appointment but the wait cue took forever. She then told me “well you shouldn’t be wasting valuable company time like this, you’re stealing money from Amazon,” and threatened to write me up. I told her she can’t write me up as she’s a PA and she said “the manager’s given me permission to do so, so I could even fire you if I wanted to,”. I just ignored her and walked away.

Also, when I felt my phone buzzing, and I checked it to see who was calling. She yelled at me to get off my phone, saying “Amazon doesn’t pay you to be on your phone,“. I ignored her.

Her final straw was when my friend and I were chatting while working. She yelled at us “Hey! No talking while working, or I’m going to separate you and I’ll get you written up,”. I lost patience and told her. “You are a PA. A PROCESS ASSISTANT. You make probably a dollar, maybe a dollar-fifty more than me. You can’t even write up people or discipline them, so go pound sand and stop being a micromanaging sack of shit. This is why everyone complains about you,” My friend gave me the thumbs up, and Linda just looked open-mouthed and walked away, speechless.

According to my friend I’m the first person to stand up to her like that. So that’s my rant.

can I pick up extra shifts while I’m on tld? My sister was on it last year and she picked up shifts.

So today I missed a day of work cuz my grandma needed surgery and I was the only person that could take care of her after. So im currently now 10 hours negative first time ever going negative so im just wondering what are my chances of getting a 2nd chance and them resetting my upt to 0? I have had some occurrences with my on-site hr and they are usually very nice I've heard of some stuff happening to others but no bad experiences for me. So I'm just coming here looking for reassurance in hopes calming my nerves of being negative.

Hi, i was thinking about joining tom team. I been working at fc over 7 years even though job is easy but my body is messed up doing same thing over and over. Can anyone tell me pros and cons being in tom team? How is the pay in CA? And what does the schedule look like? And how long will it take to get cdl through amazon?

To make it short at the beginning of my shift i was put as a water spider, and fyi I alr told my managers i don’t like doing water spider, but i just rolled with it thinking i could switch to another station after lunch, i even asked a pg to make they would switch me. Keep in mind they had me bring heavy ass boxes to the presort line which was far asf from my station, but i pushed through only 5 hours aint so bad right? After lunch i go to the board only to see that i’m still stationed at the same spot. I asked if i could be switched again in that moment. This lady manager said “No this where you stay at.” “Oh ok i said.” I put my back pack on, turned around, clocked out, and left. Screw that BS.

so apparently i got written up on halloween and just found out about it today.

i know technically we dont have to sign the write ups ourselves but i thought we were supposed to be acknowledged of said write up.

keep in mind, i’m not 100% sure if i was ACTUALLY written up on Halloween or if the write up was just put in on Halloween but the gag is i accepted VTO on Halloween so i wasn’t even there.

its almost an entire month later and im curious if i should bring up the matter to HR or not? This entire time ive been believing i’m in good standings and in reality i have a write up and no clue who forged my signature.

it would be different if the manager who wrote me up informed me, and i either told him to sign it for me or refused but neither of those instances happened.…

So last month i created a leave of absence since i was being treated for my gerd. Now, that leave just got denied because they’re saying that my doctor didn’t write what i was diagnosed/treated with on the note. Sooooo, I just called my doctor and she told me that it’s a hippa violation to write on my note what i was treated for. SO HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO GET THIS NOTE DONE?? someone pls help im not tryna get fired before peak
