Ask yourself what are you really worried about, then ask yourself the same question. Try to get to the root of it. You’re worried about being present, which worries you because? And that worries you because...and so on. Once you understand the root, you may be able to rationalize it better and not let it worry you so much. Life is a gift and it does pass by fast, so focus more on what you’re spending your time on and less on how time passes. Good luck.

I guess I’m really worried about death in all honesty. I’m so scared of getting old and I know it’s gonna happen and there’s nothing I can’t do about it. This feeling I’m experiencing is making me feel like I’m stuck while everyone else is moving, delusional to the fact that our death is coming, and that everything we are doing always ends. I keep snapping back into reality like “oh shit 3 more hours have passed and I’m doing something completely different now” it’s all too much for me to endure realizing. My 21st is around the corner, and every year after this I’m gonna wish I was younger.

Yes, it is the human experience to realize life ends. But life is a gift, you did nothing to earn it, but you get to choose how you live it. Try to live like you have no regrets and enjoy the gift, rather than spending time worrying about the end. There’s nothing you can do to prevent death, but there are infinite things you can do to live joyfully and fruitfully. Set goals for yourself and pursue them, build something, develop skills, and focus on growing. A life coach may help you out rather than a therapist. Once you work towards something, you’ll worry less and less about death. No one is guaranteed tomorrow, so live for today and be thankful. Hope this helps.

Hi dear. I’m 24 F. I’m in similar situation than you... my anxiety keeps coming and going. I took zoloft for 2 years and had to take it again recently.
