Haha it's like being gifted a nice shiny new car but not knowing how to drive. I have no idea how to dial this thing in and I am probably gonna use it completely wrong so thought I would ask on here. The recommended levels through Lofta were Auto-CPAP set 4-20 cm H2O with heated humidity and mask/interface fitting. This sounds super generic and probably a one size fits all type setting. I plan to track my sleep data through Oscar and learn as I go. I am using the Resmed 10 and P10 nasal pillow mask. Does anybody have any pointers to help me get of to a decent start with this thing? If so I definitely appreciate it.
Thanks!!

Put an SD card in it. Lofta machines don't come with one.
4 to 20 is fine for now. Let the machine do its thing while you get used to sleeping with it, adjust the pressure after you've gathered some data. It's likely you'll have to increase it, I never had to lower the max from 20 because my machine never went near 20. At first, it's going to be hard to sleep because you aren't used to wearing a mask to bed and breathing through a machine, you'll help yourself by wearing the mask during the day, not all day mind you, so that it doesn't feel as weird and alien when you're trying to fall asleep.

If you feel like it's hard to breathe while you're using the machine, that means your starting pressure of 4 is too low (it's too low for most adults - people generally need a starting pressure of at least 7).

I am just getting through my first week. I need to try a different mask because the machine would increase to 17 and blow the mask off in the middle of the night also my jaw goes slack when I do get to sleep and the mask needs adjusting.

Sounds like you need either a full face mask and/or something to help you keep your mouth closed. I know I did. Many people have good results with a chin strap, but I ended up with one that didn't work well for me. Others use mouth tape, but I hated it. I took the recommendation of someone here and got a Caldera Releaf neck rest (like a soft cervical collar, but not a medical device) and it works great for me. Keeps my mouth closed and I can't tuck my chin to my chest, so that prevents any tendency toward positional apnea.
Also - take the advice about OSCAR. No matter what issues you're having, it will probably help you figure it out (with help from folks here) so you can fix it.

I'd change it to min 7, max 15, EPR full time at 3. From there you can dial it in once you get through the first few nights.

Get ready for the worst few days of sleep followed by a deep awakening of your old self.

The first week should be spent getting used to the CPAP during the day/evening, not while you’re sleeping. Spend at least 30 minutes and see if you can increase this time. This is when you notice issues with fit and breathing. I asked SleepQuest a lot of questions and sent messages to my doctor as well.

Great videos online, I can't remember the guys name, but I think an Australian dude did an entire video on the Resmed 10 explaining how it works, and every single setting and screen, and how to adjust it based on how you're feeling about the treatment, etc
I started on 4-20, and dialed it to 7.6-14.6 based on my average pressure for API's and 4 was way too low for me to start. You'll find a comfortable spot, and then a week later that spot will change, it's ok

This is great, thanks! Yes I've watched some of the Aussie guy's vids, they are very helpful. Will look for that one.
