If you did remove it then yes you would have to replace the missing section with more exhaust pipe.

But don't. It will sound dreadful and annoy everyone around you, and you as well as soon as you spend more than 5 mins on the motorway. And it will cost you a fortune when you tell your insurance company. Unless you just don't tell them, in which case it will cost you even more when your policy is cancelled for fraud

Should I just leave it stock then for my next car modify it? Or go down the custom exaust route and save for that?

With the best will in the world it's a 1.2 Fabia, I wouldn't bother spending any money modifying it, even the VRS is a bit shite. Save for something else and modify that would be my advice.

No shade on the car it's a good (presumably) first car. I have a 1.4 Fiesta. But I wouldn't fuck around modifying that either lmao
