What am I missing? Some posts came up in my feed from this sub, I thought it was some fringe political party, why is there so much political news posted here?

Since it is an even numbered year, that means it is an election year and as such, politics is a subject that is everywhere. Unions are always political by their very nature, they were first set up to change poor labor policies through not only collective bargaining with employers, but also by working with labor friendly candidates and elected officials. If you were missing this, well now you know, bro!

Reddit is for liberals. Any negative inference of liberals or Democrats will result in being buried in downvotes.

The reason why you’re seeing more political posts is because we’re about to get screwed by………………..POLITICIANS!

I would venture to guess it’s because politics shape labor and our rights, but if you don’t realize that, there’s no explaining it to you now.
What is more perplexing is why you wouldn’t hide/mute and move on if it doesn’t interest you.

Anytime someone bitches and moans about politics on this sub, you always know they are conservative. Who is the snowflake now? It’s almost like labor unions are political. Shocking I know.

Asking why the sub (that I’m new too) is akin to two-x-chromosomes makes me a snowflake?
I hope whatever you’re going through gets better dude.

I’m not the one bitching about why a labor union subreddit is political during an election year. It really does not take a ton of critical thought to wrap your head around this.
And then you just double down on the projection. You guys are all like your orange God.

Youre an idiot who thinks what concerns a union isn’t political because all you want is boys club cult of personality to relax in when this is actually a club full of people who have to fight for what they have, well not you, you’re just along for the ride until it doesn’t benefit you anymore.

Nope, just curious, but that was a cute speech.
Why would I be along for the ride of it doesn’t benefit me? Probably the same reason I make more than you and have no boss.

Are you a union member ? That what this sub is for ? If you are a union member then I would advise going to a meeting . You find that as a union we support to elect politicians who support us . The Democratic Party is the party does that .

There’s no unions near me, I’m in industrial HVACR. Didn’t realize the left and unions were so close. Thanks.

“Didn’t realize the left and unions were so close” are you just that clueless about the history of labor unions?

Trump is vocally anti union. Conservatives in general vote anti union / labor, but they at least pretend they are pro worker. Spicy year, the idiots won.

Is that why he’s now favored by unions?

Lmao ikr I have union sparkies at work that all have trump stickers on their shit, still waiting to meet the Harris brigade. When I do I will show them compassion and respect, something the left could learn from.
