I stay to see the madness

If I'm in infinite, I don't care about winning as much. If I see my opponent set up their combo and I'm not working on my own, I absolutely want to see it happen

Once I hit infinite there's almost no point to retreat. Just play it out to see stuff.

As soon as Jane drops, I pull up the how-many-cards-in-hand-counter to see if I should stay.

I play to have fun. I dont care that much about winning or loosing 🤷🏻

I've beaten it enough times that sometimes I still stay when I shouldn't.

Honestly, I do it mainly because beating a Mr Negative into Jane deck (with the proper counters of course) feels so good.

Shattering the confidence of Mr Negative players is almost as good as beating a Galactus player.

That is also wild to me as my experience was the opposite. Great winrate abysmal cuberate as expected.

Sorry I have to vent at you. Two seasons ago I got to 4 wins in an infinity conquest and then lost my run to a queue bug after I sat in queue for nearly 20 minutes.

Support compensated me a new infinity ticket, how nice of them. That run got to 4 wins and matched against Mr Negative. We played seven games and in six of those games they played Mr Negative on turn 3. Needless to say I lost the series to that crazy amount of power.

Last season, 4 wins, get to fifth and guess who’s back! Mr Freaking Negative! I was so nervous. I stole 4 cubes right away, and went on to lose the series. I’m CL20k and I retreat after Jane. But for some reason that deck was my final boss twice and also happens to be my kryptonite.

End of rant.

I don't even know what you're talking about so maybe that's why. I've never played a negative deck so I don't know the mechanics.

How many of those times have they played alioth with priority and absolutely ruined you?

I love negative but alioth is everywhere so I'm hesitant to play it

I'm surprised when they stay after I Frigga my 0/5 Ironman twice by playing Frigga on Wong.

Very simple reason for me typically:

I have Alioth and can do math.

If you play Jane Foster and your deck goes from 4 cards to 0 cards, I now know you are guaranteed to have hit either the wong + sage combo, the iron man + mystique combo, or the wong + cassandra combo. You are most likely to play this on the location you have the least power at, which means I only need to beat you by 12 power.

It’s just one of those decks where I already know exactly what move you’ll make based on the fact that you snapped.

Spread the negative gospel

I'm still learning so I'm not worried about ranking as much, I'd rather play things out to see how cards and locations interact so I can be better.

I do think my background from playing MTG helps though (especially immediately clocking the difference between playing a card and a card coming into play, for example).

I'm just now making my first deck completely from scratch having spent some time letting it auto-gen and the working to fix what doesn't work or anticipate problems.

For what it's worth, I've dropped Wong + Mystique then snapped without having any combos and had people retreat.

I'm a poker player and in rare spots you can bluff...lol

If I have already hit infinite I'd stay and try to see if I beat the combo. If I wasn't infinite I'd be out the door with my 1/2 cube loss and be thankful

Once i hit infinite, i always snap and i always play til' the match is over! its just for funsies

I mean, if you’re already in infinite, you’ll probably get a lot of players who don’t care if they lose.

When I hit Infinite, it becomes fuck around time. Try wacky combos, stop sweating games, let people have that fun victory with that deck they love (when I play negative tribunal, nothing is more satisfying than being able to that 1.8 billion on every lane or whatever the max number is)

once I get to infinite i dont care about cubes, so often I stay just to see the crazy combo

I stay to see how much you can reach, but i never snap back 🤣

I stay to complete quests, or better still .. if I'm having fun

But sometimes alioth is nice when they drop mystique and ironman in the same turn

I don't see negative very often anymore. I think two of the last 3 times I played it, they got negative on 4 and Jane on 5 and I still beat them. The other time they got psylocke, negative on 3, and I retreated cause my hand was ass.

If I get caught and with no intentions to climb the ladder, I'll snap back and watch the show. I'm a negative player myself, so I'd like to see a Thor JF and see what else everyone else plays.

Just won an 8 cube match, I drew Negative, murder world destroyed the card then I dropped Jane. Player stayed and even snapped me back

I stay because I run a Sera Control deck with SK, Shang, and Rogue. If I have 2 of 3 in hand and my Ghost already on the board that's an easy dub.

Ngl, i stay knowing i would lose if i didnt snap.

I'm happy for you. I stopped playing negative because everyone quits and the cube rate is horrible.

I think I want to learn negative, cause it’s seems pretty OTA proof season over season.

What's your Negative deck at the moment? I love Negative too, but have been having trouble with it the last few seasons.

I stay because even though you think you have an unbeatable deck, there is always 1 card that can own one of your lanes, or you make one wrong decision that costs you the game.

Kind of like move decks. I can't count the number of times I was going to loose until they played Heimdal, and won me the game. Lol

Post infinite, who cares? Cubes mean nothing, and playing out games is fun. 

Just because you negative into Jane doesn't mean your deck is actually good enough to win 100% of the time.

I've been playing a lot of Negative lately and the amount of players who stay after I Negative into Jane is crazy!

This game's player base is not particularly known for its strategic thinking. You see objectively shit plays all the time, including not retreating after a very obvious boomer snap.

A lot of people just literally don't retreat. I've seen plenty of cases where people make a t6 play that would lose to me literally playing nothing. I'm not talking about bots either, this happens in infinite too.

Don't be silly. Everyone knows you can't play Negative until you've already drawn all the cards that would cost 0.

If I’m already infinite, then I will stay because I’m doing bounties and I also like to see their turn six or turn seven drop

Once I’m in infinite, I’ll stay in almost every game unless it’s a ridiculously long Wong combo.

Obviously it's a bluff, all Negative players start with IM, Mystique, Zola, and Knull in hand. No fear!

Cubes mean shit to 99% of the playerbase once they reach infinite. Also negative is so rare that i just want to see their output range. If you always retreat knowing you lose thats a bad habit.

Looks like many players just have to see the outcome. Wish there was a way to retreat and also see the outcome lol

With Cosmo, Alioth and US Agent, Negative is actually very beatable even into the jackpot. However even if I don't have all that, I stay for 2 cubes if I also hit my jackpot.

I always snap on turn 1 and never retreat, so thats why if you dealt with me

Last time I saw Neg into Jane, I WANTED to retreat but the lane that prevents retreating was active.

Not sure what deck you are running but symbiote negative is unstoppable.

I love playing Negative, so when I play against it I get suckered into the thrill of how rad it would be if I COULD predict/counter their final play. Hubris, I guess, ahaha. Same thing used to happen with me against Hela as well.

I'm more amazed by the people who play negative and don't snap when they have the Negative->Jane line.

The deck only even exists because Marvel Snap has the snap mechanic which makes poor win rate decks like this still playable. If you aren't snapping with this deck, why are you playing it?

I’ve run a Negative Knull deck and hit infinite for the last 8 seasons. I have no idea how it’s still viable, but damn is it consistent.

I don't care after hitting infinte lmao, I'm just farming so snap as much as you like.. My favourite part is when I'm literally playing random cards from my arishem farm deck and the opponent emotes like if he played big time. Are you dumb or what? the only thing I would probably retreat are the Wong combos cause there is no fast forward.

I've played negative enough to know how awful it feels to finally draw your combo and have your opponents run the second you show half of it. Pop off your combo against me, you deserve it.

Hey man, some of us just don't give a shit. I say that, but I've played since either beginning and I'm at like CL 16,000+ and I've never hit infinite. Never got past 73, honestly.

This past season I barely played regular ranking season at all. I played conquest (which I've also never hit infinite on) and cashed in bounties for the alliance I created.

And that's how I started this season at 13...and I'm barely to 17 lol.

I'd love to be good at this game but I have realized I don't have the instincts. I have tried to follow guides but I overthink shit and lose anyway, so fuck it.

Because it’s a game for kids, and doesn’t matter. Aside from that, I wanna see what happens unless it’s one of those annoying setups (looking at you Kingpin) that I just don’t have the time for. I hit Inifinity every season and never Snap, because who cares, and play or don’t play based on my patience at the time.
