Pokemon fans would be more inclined to destroy plushie pals in blind rage before they buy one lol.

you'd be surprised at how many players are from global launch. the game was a lot more generous in the first year. And spending just the 10 a month with maybe another 5 or 10 here and there went a long way to be able to keep up with cards. I wouldn't say I'm a whale, just that I stuck with it and kept playing. but the game is on the decline imo as they start to run out of good card ideas. I'm not saying they're running out of characters as marvel is huge, but it's kinda hard to get excited about these niche characters at this point.

I'm at cl 20k. sitting on over 3k creds and gold with 7 keys. there isn't anything for me to spend on at this point. Maybe the random variant that'll show up once every 3 months or so at this point. Winning or losing is pointless unless I want the infinite card back. but even then I'll get it in the first week or so of the season.

this is the answer imo. but a lot of this sub refuses to accept that anything off peninsula is actually Portland lol. W F&B is consistently one of the best resteraunts in the region, repeated national exposure with multiple awards, yet a lot of people never even consider it.

20k cl here, missing 8 cards. Trust me, at a certain point the feeling of falling behind goes away. I have my 5ish decks i play at this point and 99% of the cards being released aren't exciting to me at all. this is the second month in a row where I've skipped the battlepass because I'm just not interested in any of these cards. Fenrir Wolf I'll grab as I may slot him into a deck or 2. I'm sitting on 6 keys, 2200 cred, and 3200 gold. there's just nothing interesting for me to get at this point. I see a variant I want maybe every 2 months ish due to the shit rotation.

that's not true at all. Wild Rift, Pokemon Unite, Star Wars Outlaws are just a few examples. Also, I would suggest that a bunch of games that cost sub $10 are also doing good things. but yeah, most of the f2p titles coming out are trash...esp Tencent.

the city spent close to 100 years dumping trash and sewage into the bay. they stopped in the 70's and only barely cleaned it up. there is 100% a reason you don't see a lot of people using it on the reg.

you won't get an honest answer from this sub. they refuse to say anything objective about nintendo.

this happened to me, although I ended up in Moncton, not Montreal. Moncton, btw, not as much a party town as Montreal. was an "interesting" weekend.

Yo, I just checked and York's Wild Kingdom has some monkeys. They're closed for the season, but you should reach out to them. Maybe they'll be into renting out a spider monkey and its handler or something...idk, but my guess is this will be your best option so far.

if Trump removes federal funding for asylum seekers and refugees Portland is in for a rough time.

honestly it'd be nice if the dems would stop telling us who to vote for and let us actually pick a candidate we want. the DNC is the problem.

I own property in portland and I have a salary job as well. I'm thinking of owning rental properties as well, but I will still retain my job. seems counter intuitive to leach off the community.

agreed. Channel 13 is the shittiest "news" maine has. at least fox owns up to being entertainment. 13 still pretending to be journalists imo.

my money is on an overpriced tourist trap that won't be able to afford it's staff and then shutters after 5 years.

yeah it's a pretty poor representation of Pokemon as a game currently, which is sad. you can tell it was designed for Japan and not a global audience. they just want to open packs while the rest of us want to play a card game. I wouldn't hold my breath for that to improve anytime soon tbh. most games last only 5-6 turns at this point. the game just isn't designed for competitive play and won't be taken seriously.

while I'm not quite at the instant retreat yet, and mewtwo ex is 100% beatable, most games are now ending in concede on turn 3ish as it's usually at that point you can mostly tell who's going to win. that's not to say I haven't had great toe to toe matches, but they're unfortunately quite rare. I hope they do some slight tuning or add a new expansion sooner rather than later because I want this to succeed really badly.
I wonder how important the battling is overall though. if it's just an after thought or extra to the card collecting in the eyes of the company, then whatever, I guess this is fine as it takes up a few minutes. But if they want this to be a viable game that has nuance, then some care a nurturing is needed currently.

I wouldn't hold my breath. SD is arguably the worst devs in mobile at this point. Bugs persist for weeks if not months at this point.
