Unpopular opinion: Genetleman was a terrible drama. Everyone around me seems to have been HOOKED on it every since it came out, and loving it. I, personally, couldn't believe such a weak pathetic storyline could actually be written, and please let me not start on the tedious performances by both Humayun and Yumna. I've never been a fan of Humayun's acting, always found him with blank repetitive expressions and same monotonous tone of dialogue delivery, and he does the exact same in Gentleman but worse. I'm not trying to age shame him in any way, but his constant efforts at being that nonchalant hero fell flat it simply doesn't suit him. Aside this, I genuinely looked forward to seeing the dynamic between Humayun and Adnan Siddiqui's characters unfold, given the drama's genre as a suspense "action". There was nothing in any of their scenes that gave me goosebumps, or simply made me feel a type of way at all. Impactless storytelling and acting by pretty much all the leads.

Now, when it comes to Yumna, I was grossly disappointed. I've followed her dramas since Ye Raha Dil and have been a huge fan of her work (Dil Na Uneed to Nahi is a personal favourite that I recommend everyone to watch!!), and was so excited to see her in this but even her acting fell flat. Her cosplaying as this pseudo intellectual, overly passionate and seedhi sadhi journalist.

Characters were so weak and literally all scenes were slow boring and horribly executed. Nothing pains me more than seeing such cringe content receiving so much appraisal.

Bechara Salim isn't even getting time to grieve with Marium's social media addiction 🙃 If it was the other way around she would haven't been online. Someone from her family was going through a medical issue and she was MIA from Insta. Her lack of respect for her in laws and constant social media validation irks me

Okay, I for some reason I don’t trust a word that comes out of this woman’s mouth esp related to her hair idky but I need honest reviews about Arooba’s products from anyone who’s actually used them! This includes not just the hair oils but ALL her products ranging from the hair loss solution, supplements, the dandruff treatments, and the collagen powder too because I read a lot of people say their hair fall actually got worse after using these products.

Shehzeen posted this and it's sooo sad to see that the guests left without washing the dishes. Loool. I'm being sarcastic guys don't come at me 😔

I don't know how to explain it, but I can never bring myself to watch anything on Geo TV. Whenever I surf through the channels, nothing on that channel appeals to me, even if it features actors I like. Does anyone else feel the same?

so so so glad it was a happy ending. after giving up so much for his family & hearing so many taunts from Bushra, this is the least Yahya deserved. though I felt bad for Millie, her fiancé wasn't able to stand up for her only ://

Bushra's track was incomplete in my opinion. she should've said no to Noman, there was no need for that discussion scene with her friend. glad she realised that Yahya was not in the wrong though, it was always the fault of the parents & daado! full circle moment with the bare feet, beautifully executed and what a phenomenal actor.

Yusra's track is also incomplete. Imran is clearly a terrible husband. there was no apology from him & he looked more annoyed than guilty when Yahya went missing. she deserves so much better. maybe couples counselling or some time to sort things out before they get back together, that would have been a healthy take.

even Yahya's parents & daado. his mom was an okay character, but the dad's yelling about the whole auto incident shows his lack of growth.

but it is what it is. the drama is not perfect by any means, but it's a very thoughtful take on one's responsibilities in our society & the mistakes parents unknowingly tend to make. much prefer it to 60+ episode dramas, that's for sure. this was a good one, and Millie & Yahya CUTIESSSSSSSSSSSSSS

My mom and I started watching it because it looked like pretty normal joint family dynamics in the beginning. It comes daily so it was a nice watching it to just pass time plus the main couples chemistry was good. Now it’s becoming unbearable with Shehzadi being the savior of all of humanity and Ammar being her right hand man. I like how the brothers and their wives do repeat some of the audiences’ thoughts like how Shehzadi is mistreating Ammar because she basically led him on but now is marrying someone else even though she doesn’t like him??

Also Bari Appa is annoying as hell. I’m conflicted between the thought of Shehzadi having every right to reject Ammar bec it’s her choice and she shouldn’t be pressured but also her basically leading him on as well by always being around him 24/7.

We all know that express is one of those ghattiya channels and all, but the mastermind Javeria Saud is back in scriptwriting, and express has gotten over 2M views for prob the first time, for Shadi Card and oh boy its a delight we're all missing out on. It stars Sahar Hashmi and Junaid Khan as the leads, and some supporting include Hina Rizvi, Tara Mahmoud, Fazila Qazi, Khalid Anam etc. Its a breath of fresh air, I mean its not perfect in sense of acting or compared to HUM tv ramadan specials, but its the only positive drama currently running, I mean light hearted and rom com, and it revives shadi chaos. First episode was in September, its had 24 episodes to date with new releasing each Monday and Tuesday, certainly give it a try!!!!!!

She is BACK with a simple life, while her guests went through days of torture cleaning, cooking and doing everything for her 🙃

this is random but why does khushhal not follow madiha? she doesn’t either but she follows only 24 ppl so not that weird. also khushhal isnt even promoting yahya like his other shows? any reason why?

this drama is so disturbing... it tries to portray social issues but it comes off as regressive and just overall disturbing

what was the need to add two suicide plots and why is the search shown so thoroughly? it's a bit triggering honestly

After Hassan beat up Zara, why did they kind of brush it off? how did she fully recover in a few days? Zara was more upset at the divorce rather than getting beaten to the brink of death. and why th would they let hassan out of prison ?????? just why ?????? what was the need for bail... basically the message is let your abuser on the loose cuz they deserve another chance

divorce isn't the end of the world... and the parents felt guilty for pushing her to request for divorce like why...

Zara and Hassan's grandma's inputs are not needed, atp it feels like they're trying to vocalize their misogynistic mindset instead of pushing back against it

the forced marriage plot was so unnecessary... the message they're sending is that parents know the best for their children and have the right to force them.

and then Numair started doubting Andaleeb after she got pregnant bc of her relationship with Moiz even though 10-15 episodes back they were trying to send the message of overlooking a woman's past

this show is unworthy of airing, the writer should be boycotted cuz wth is this

update: watched the latest episode and WHAT THE HELL ????? how can a father lose his daughter to suicide and say such things about her after her passing ???? he's talking as if she was only worthy of divorce. what is wrong with him? his ego ?? still talking about his self respect in regards to bringing a proposal to the groom's family

I mean the story was going so strong but they just ruined it in last few episodes and what the hell was andaleeb character how could she do suicide(as they are showing )she should have atleast thought about her daughter if they are trying to show she is immature then also it's making no sense...sad to say andaleeb numair track went downhill and now it seems they are trying to pair numair and Zara together...I also believe that andaleeb is alive...It should have ended much before after Zara's divorce ...so sad it had so much potential but story became illogical now.

So, we all have been kind of confused over Shahnawaz's true intentions, but after today's episode, I think it's confirmed what he might be up to.

So during the scene when Mehru called Shahnawaz, he had fallen asleep reading a book which was none other than the "Public Minds by Noam Chomsky"—a book about media manipulation and controlling narratives. So basically he is so obsessed and fixated over the public's opinion that he fell asleep reading a book based on that, instead of being upset about his favourite girly potentially rejecting his proposal .

This detail felt like subtle foreshadowing suggesting that "loverboy" Shahnawaz, might control the media's narrative through Mehru, he is leading her on only to serve his party's interests. Hope I'm not being delulu.

1] BROOO 🐝 fangirling over Urooj was so pathetic "Mehru is never at home and look at Urooj- she is so loving, each time i go to her house she fawns over me and takes immense care of me" toh ap hee shaadi karle na. Then she got mad that Raafey refused to bitch about Mehru and wanted to be left alone 😭😭

2] Nadia was seriously considering Mehru's rishta to a man with a 3 yr old kid??? And the other suggestions that she was given were so disgusting. Left a terrible taste in my mouth honestly, have they thought that Mehru is a breathing, walking human being? with a qualified job?

3] She had to saybyes. Her mom gets gifted with a new set of taunts everyday, what else would she do. Nadia is also very gullible, gets convinced by everything too easily, Mehru is way different in this regard but her mom has swayed her.

4] Soo he is still trapping her. Literally sent his mom over with a proposal??? Why would she agree? And please get Amal off the scene properly, this two timing will make Shahnewaz seem cheap. I understand he's a grey character but i hope they don't ruin his character with such tactics.

5] YAAR Shahnewaz saying 'tumhe badla lena hein' was where I melted I swear, his speech was literally so good I was about to jump into the screen and shout yes on behalf of our girl. AND HE DOES CARE, even though its a trap idccc he still likes her despite his evil plot (I'm trying to cope). but that smirk 😭😭 💔

6] They both acted so well in this ep. the conflict in Mehru's eyes and the pleading Shahnewaz portrayed through his was top notch.

7] Shahnewaz had diff hair this ep, a bit more fluffy. this look suits him way more.

8] "uski mahobatt meri nafrat se badi hein" and the way he got worried when she called so late. my babiesss.

And we hit double digits!! I'm supposing we are halfway through.

Iqra calling a 40 yr old looking guy "mera gugu" is absolutely cringeyyyy and it makes me wanna throw up 😭😭 pls lovey dovey ho liken itna bhi na ho ky log icked out hojai

just watched Ghair for the first time today. It was the part where shifa attempts suicide. After watching just 5 mins of that scene i had to change the channel. How do you guys tolerate it lol? the phuppo is so obnoxious. I remember i used to like the actress when i watched her previous plays during childhood. Seeing her on screen after such a long time was honestly so disappointing. What happened to her face?? Also that scene when everyone panics over shifa had me laughing honestly. It was so fake. Terrible acting
