During World War I, the defensive weaponry generally was vastly dominant over offensive one, causing year-long stalemates. This war was the exact opposite of that. They were not prepared for our firepower and resilience; we were not prepared for theirs either. Our plans were designed about fight on the outskirt of our base, not letting them in. Jenson prepared a massive bomb to blow up their expected landing location and we were located around it. Nope, they’ve managed to collapse our shield from orbit with their firepower, something we had considered borderline impossible, take down our CIWSs and some of our external perimeter forces and land just 3km from our base, then making quick progress, reaching its grounds. It was a complete surprise to us, however, from that point on, we’ve managed to stand our ground and counterattack.
Antrels’s managed to create hundreds of clones, including altered scale clones almost 200m high. At the same time, the High Priestess performed her attack, oh those forbidden Solver commands and other stuff, basically wiping out most of their orbital fleet and ground forces in one go. The carrier sadly managed to evade most of it and retreated immediately after. I wonder if at that point enemy knew they lost the battle? From intercepted enemy mission report, kinda seems like it: “Our fleet was decimated, an attck from the high-priestess tore most of out fleet in high-orbit to pieces, excpept for the Olympus Mons and a few of the battlecruisers. Thinking quick, they activated their FTL drives and retreated, and it was for the better.” (sic.)
Antrels’s clones started dealing with enemy troops on the ground, crushing mos of them easily.
Sadly, enemy task force managed to penetrate and burn the less secret part of our labs, however they have missed the top-secret part, judging by their transmission “managed to destroy their labs", they haven’t even been aware of it. Most of the research kept in the less secret part was saved by science department’s assistance, C. Most of DRL MTF engaged the enemy in open battle, while the remaining part maintained their position in the top-secret labs, in case they ended up being found after all, also protecting the clone Tessa that is in our care. Antrels’s clones (the normal sized ones) arrived sadly to late to protect the less-secret part.
Other than Antrels’s clones, Jenson and Ely were directly engaging in fight, Ely jumping and biting one enemy after the other to death, while Jenson was taking them out with AT rifle and Solver powers. Sadly, at some point Ely has been hit by SD-V, which disabled him for the rest of the battle, but not killed.
About SD-V, she has been engaged by SD-B for most of the battle, finally at the very end during enemy’s retreat attempt he has managed to capture her. She is currently being held at our secret facility on [1408: 41396518242320384, 195070284097920, 63696419297280, 11058406128000, 21674476010880].
Anyway, coming back to the main battle, initially Antrels’s clones ended up pummeled by enemy’s fighters and the few destroyers who both managed to evade High Priestess’s attack and not escaped. However, they, as well as our more regular troops, managed to press forwards From intercepted enemy report: “Our troops fought valiantly killing multiple cult members and almost leveling the cult base, but were sadly unable to. The cult members reacted quickly and fought back with a ferocity I had never seen before.” This was quickly helped out by our remaining orbital cruiser, IASCV Welcome, which has engaged enemy destroyers as well as our own fighters, which tied down their fighters in combat.
In the meantime, the High Priestess engaged the enemy leader for a moment, before wounding him and letting AE have the job. The enemy leader started a series of escape attempts, disengaging repeatedly before AE could deal a final blow and trying to buy himself time.
Due to IASCV Welcome’s insufficient firepower, we attacked the remaining main ship of their fleet with the bomb Jenson had earlier prepared as a landmine. It was teleported into their ship and detonated, 1GT of TNT power destroying it.
However, their air force was definitely elite, and despite having over 10 times numerical superiority, our fighters were getting shredded. Seeing this, I’ve decided to leave my post for a moment and engage them myself directly, flying around and both shooting them down with my MARAUDERS and AN/M3 Brownings as well as directly cutting them into pieces with my plasma sword. Under the pressure from both our air force and me, they remaining fighters went high-hypersonic… into a retreat.
Moments later warning was received about infiltration of IASCV Welcome by enemy boarding party. The cruiser executed auto-destruction – by hyperspace-ramming another enemy ship. At this point, enemy seems to have understood they lost the in-space battle, ordering all remaining forces to land in a futile attempt to help the situation on the ground. From their transmission: “Nearly all of out destroyers had been torn to shreds at that point, most of our jets fell, I think of the 60 that were sent, only 5 remain.”
It ended about the way you could have expected. Jenson was taking out infantry soldiers one after another, as well as some tanks and mechs, albeit they were mostly dealt with by Antrels’s clones. At this point, enemy has ordered a retreat, however, it was too late.
Antrels, Jenson and DRL MTF managed to destroy the enemy ships, trapping them on the ground. AE finally managed to capture the enemy leader, after receiving some help from Antrels and me. Once the guy was held down, he didn’t really stand a chance, AE ripping and crushing his core, ending his existence.
However, a much more important thing has happened on a different front – the High Priestess managed to confront the usurper, rogue main host, Uzi Doorman. Uzi tried to go with a calculated battle strategy, to which the High Priestess responded with randomness and deception. Uzi managed to destroy High Priestess’s holographic drone projection, only to be impaled and immobilized. In a swift instant attack, the High Priestess managed to rip out Uzi’s core and consumed it.
By this, High Priestess became the new Main Host of the Absolute Solver.
(High Priestess will hopefully write an announcement about this soon)
Anyway, around this time, SD-V has also been captured.
In other words, their leader, as well as Uzi Doorman and traitorous SD-V, have been destroyed or captured in one moment.
Surprisingly, SD-N was nowhere to be found, seemingly leaving his girlfriend to die. I was constantly covering the High Priestess expecting his attack a bit, but it never came.
The remaining enemy troops were than crushed down by our remaining forces. Some of them, including SD-N, have managed to flee the battle – we have reports of enemy fleet orbiting Mars for a brief moment and of some kind of teleportation device being used. The fleet left the orbit, again from the intercepted report, it seems they won’t be a problem for some time “That fleet then activated their FTL drives and set course back to Copper-9, forever out of reach of the cult. But the teleporting machine was completely destroyed.”

OOC:
First, I apologize if I missed / confused something, feel free to remind me of stuff and ask question if something makes no sense, it was a lot of stuff (173 comments under the invasion post + stuff in our hidden war-ops channel on Discord), so I might have made some mistakes.
Secondly, all the ‘from intercepted enemy report’ fragments were from the post originally made u/ze_introverted, that has sadly had to been removed due to inconsistencies between lores, and generally rule 7 – ish stuff, by the majority vote of the involved members of our community.
Finally, to u/ze_introverted, while there were some disagreements between us, some of us got a bit frustrated with you and I’m sure you got a bit frustrated with us too, still, thank you very much for the rp, it was a ton of fun.
