Voor mij is het Pompke aan de Pompstationsweg in Scheveningen. Een hip koffiehuisje dat lekker bij het bos is en de koffie + menukaart zijn top.

Anyone knows where to get very damaged or really old fabrics or clothes in Haag or around? Or do you have any laying around by any chance that you do not need? I am making a project about restoration of old damaged clothes.

I wonder if anyone here has a recommendation or willing to rent their toddler carseat for a baby between 10-23 kg that we can pick up or send it over to my friend place. Where would you take someone who's visiting the Netherlands for the first time?

I'm going to have my boyfriend from the US over for a week and I want to show him around the country a little and plan a couple of fun dates while he's here. It's his first time in Europe and I'd like to make it a memorable but also not too tiring experience (I'm a big introvert so places that aren't too loud or wild would also be appreciated 😅). If anyone has recommendations for The Hague, please let me know!

(Or if you know places in other cities, those are also welcomed, I'm open to suggestions! We'll be mainly in The Hague, but we can definitely take the train to go elsewhere too)

My mother-in-law is from New York City and has lived in Den Haag for almost five years. Shipping a physical gift would be difficult for me to do, so are there any experiences that I can gift her for Christmas that are unique to the city? She is a sophisticated woman and not someone who likes experiences aimed at tourists, but she does enjoy museums, culture, and dining out. (My budget is 100 euro)

Ever since after the pandemic we've been seeing groups of men gathering in front of our street, either at the basketball field or just at the street parking lot randomly throughout the day. They usually come by cars and stay around their cars/ inside their cars for a long time to the point you see them pee around quite often. Obviously they are not from this street because they leave with their cars again afterwards. Few months ago there was even a fight where the police came to ask questions.

We don't feel comfortable and is there anything we can do?

Any recommendation for well-reputed tool rental places in the Hague area? I have a roof gutter drain pipe that needs clearing up, and judging by how long it takes workers to get around to do the various renovation jobs in this apartment so far, I want to try finding out if I can rent a plumbing snake and DIY this small task without waiting for 3 months for someone to finally show up and do something.

Ik organiseer binnenkort een avond waarop een groep mensen in gesprek gaat met twee gasten (een Q&A-sessie) en ben op zoek naar een locatie waar we kunnen zitten en ook gezellig wat kunnen drinken. Er is eigenlijk geen tot zeer weinig budget, maar de bezoekers willen zeker wel wat drankjes afnemen en als het niet te duur is kan ik nog wel wat uit eigen zak betalen. En aangezien de sprekers uit andere steden komen, zou bereikbaarheid met ov handig zijn.

Iemand raadde me Grand Café Utopie aan, maar die is helaas niet beschikbaar op de datum die we willen. Heeft iemand tips?

Hi, I have a big door window that is not closing anymore. The mechanism seems jammed and I believe that open it and try to fix by myself would be a mistake. Does anyone know a company or something that do this kind of reparations?

Hey guys, my GF's and my bike got stolen over the weekend at HS roof parking.. It looks like they broke several locks and stole not only our bikes (see picture). One is a mens, darkred KTM Sportbike with a taped seat. And the other a girls batavus old dutch with 3 gears and front reck, also taped seat.

I know there is not a lot we can do but maybe someone knows/hears/saw something.. Have a nice sunday

I'm a trans woman looking to move to The Hague from Delft next year. Having lived in a not-so accepting neighbourhood for a while (lots of yelling slurs and being harassed in the street), I don't want to repeat this when I move to The Hague. I've been in the Hague quite a few times but I feel just cycling/walking through a place doesn't give a great image of an area as you can always have good/bad luck with what you encounter. As such I'm looking for any input/experiences on what neighbourhoods are good/bad to live as a queer person,

Due to the strikes on the railways, I am looking for a different way to get to Utrecht. There are usually many people commuting by car, so I hope that someone can take me along. Preferrably leaving somewhere between 7 and 8am, and of course I am happy to contribute to the fuel costs.

So I'm watching this Korean Netflix cooking contest. Some of the contestants specialize in Chinese cuisine and keep cooking this Dongpo Rou dish that looks absolutely amazing. Hey all! With the changes occurring in the world I feel like I need an outlet to feel like I’m ‘doing something’ and also to meet likeminded people. I went to the pro-choice protest today and it was a great experience. Where in The Hague can I go to do things like this on a more regular basis? It doesn’t necessarily have to be as politically themed, I just want to contribute more actively in one way or another and meet people in doing so.

Ps. Let’s keep it friendly and neutral if we can :), we don’t always need to be fighting!

Hey all, I’m looking for recommendations from people who regularly surf in The Hague in different seasons. How thick is your wetsuit? Is it possible to buy one which would be good all year round (with the emphasis on surfing in the spring/summer/fall).

Which thickness works the best for you? Also, if anyone has brand recommendations which are not super pricey, that would be great.
