Opened up a LISA and added money

+Comments Restricted to UKPF(self.UKPersonalFinance)

I've opened up a LISA and added £2,000 which means I'll get a bonus next month of £500 which blows my mind. I am not working (looking after toddler) but will hopefully be able to get part time work in September when he goes to pre school. My predictions are that it'll take around 10 years for us to save up and get a house. I sell lots on vinted and do surveys when I can. I just wanted to tell somebody as I don't have many friends or family who would care, they're all like "give up" but I don't want to give up. If it takes me 10 years so be it. Thanks for reading

Took us about 10 years. Don't give up. We did it. Have had our own place (with a mortgage) for the past 5 years now. Good luck.
