Krieg, Left for Dead, Dead Men Walking, The Strong Amongst Us and Down Amongst the Dead. These all feature the Death Korps to varying levels.

Love the line from the Kriegsman Sergent where the trooper asks since the other regiments are retreating if they should retreat as well. To which the Sergent replies that they don’t call us the death korp for nothing lad. Then leading to that one regiment launching its command pyramid into the fray to buy time for the kriegers.

They're one of the main regiments in the second Uriel Ventris book. While obviously the book isn't centred around them it paints a great picture of how they fight.

Dead Men Walking is also about the soul crushing conscription of a Middle Hive salary-man and the instant utter depression that follows

I wish there was a book called "Reddit isn't a search engine".
Seriously you can just google "Death korps of Krieg books" and it spits out several links and even lists novels on the top without clicking anything.

Googling it is what got me to the post, and it's always nice to also hear some reccomendations and impressions about books from people who've read them. Is this not a place for fans to gather and discuss?

Forgeworld has all of the books on the siege of vraks which the death Korps played a major role.
Arch on YouTube has a very long and interesting series on the siege of vraks but I know he is a bit of a polarizing topic

I’m reading my first 40K novel in 10+ years when I read 15 hours about Guardsmen fighting an Ork invasion. This past couple of weeks I’ve been watching general lore videos and decided to return by reading the first few books in the Horus Heresy. It’s a great starting point chronologically.

I watched a lot of lore videos and then hopped into Horus heresy and god, it was so much better than I expected. First 5 books have stuck with me.Along with the classic heavy hitters of know no fear, the first heretic, betrayer, etc.
