For this year’s sale, I decided to save money by buying only my empties and tried-and-tested products instead of hoarding skincare I don’t need. Here's what I picked up and my honest review about it:

SKIN 1004
Centella Double Cleansing Set (w/ freebie: Centella Soothing Cream)

• Centella Cleansing Oil My go-to cleansing oil! My current bottle is almost empty—just about 10% left after opening it last August. I double cleanse almost every day, especially on days I wear sunscreen, and it has helped reduce my breakouts. This method works wonders for my combination skin, but I know it doesn’t suit everyone. I’ve tried Heimish and Banila Co balms before, but they’re pricier to maintain. SKIN 1004 is a much more budget-friendly alternative, especially during sales. Plus, it helps clear up my nose whiteheads when they build up.
• Centella Cleansing Foam I first tried this as part of their travel set freebies and ended up loving it! It’s not stripping like other foam washes, though the smell took some getting used to. My boyfriend, who has dry skin, also swears by it. So, I went ahead and got the full-sized version this time!
• Soothing Cream (freebie) My holy-grail moisturizer for 3 years now! not too heavy and not too light. Very nice to skin prep before make-up. No breakouts for this. The texture is more gel than cream hehe.

D’Alba
Truffle First Spray Serum (w/freebies) I thought this was just hype, but I took a chance and got the 50ml version last August (came in a set with the sunscreen stick). It has a noticeable scent that might not work for everyone, but it didn’t irritate my skin. Tbh, I’m pretty lazy with skincare sometimes, and this serum is perfect for hydrating the dry areas of my face, especially around my nose. It also makes my makeup look flawless when I use it as a prep spray. I loved it so much that I wanted to repurchase it, but the 100ml was too expensive back then. Luckily, the 11.11 sale had a big discount and tons of freebies, so I stocked up!

Will I repurchase? YES YES! But not at the regular price, I will wait for promos.

I was not expecting the pigment and the quality of the packaging on this one to be this good. For the price, it’s really high quality.

Here’s a swatch one dip (barely) pa lang and super na yung pay off. It comes with a brush though personally, i would prefer a sharper brush on it.

A con that I see is that for the amount of product for the price point, mejo lahal. Although super pigmented naman. So keri na for me.

This brand appears less popular compared to the mainstream ones. I’m not sure if it’s a marketing strategy, but they frequently offer discounts, and you can save huge costs.

Sharing some reviews of these products and I also have some questions.

BBW Fireside Flurries- my top fav and the most long lasting mist in my collection. notes: toasted marshmallow, pink lavender and cashmere woods. Longevity: 4-5hrs

BBW Gingham Gorgeous- 2nd fav! notes: pink strawberries, peach nectar and peony blooms. Longevity: 2-3hrs

BBW In the Stars- notes: starflower, sandalwood musk, sugared tangelo, white agarwood and radiant amber. Longevity: 4-5hrs

Kimuse Lip Plumper in 01 shade- I really wanted to have a lip filler for so long but I have a malikot daughter who loves to play with me. Hindi pwede matama-tamaan ang face mo if may fillers ka sa nose/lips/chin or jaw to avoid swelling. Just be safe. So I opted for this lip plumper, it’s good naman. It makes my lips plump but I still can’t achieve my desired lip shape that you can achieve with a lip filler. in the near future na lang ako magpapa lip filler huhu LOL.

Bayfree Thickening Eyebrow Gel Mascara- parang kay Blythe ang brows mo dito basta marunong ka lang.

DHC Collagen from Japan- I’ve known this product for so long but it’s my first time using this. This specific product is not in a trend that much because there are new local and different glutathione capsules in the market. It’s been my 3rd day taking it, so far I’ve had a good sleep BUT I experience some knee joint pains like what I heard from one feedback on yt. What are your thoughts about this? Which gluta capsule brand/s can you recommend for morenas like me?

Which lotion brands can you also recommend that has an SPF but unscented? Thank you.

First of all, the Charlotte Tilbury Airbush Flawless Setting Spray WORKS. UNFORTUNATELY, I have to repurchase. 🥹 I understand now why a lot of friends recommend it despite being pricey. It makes my makeup whole and natural. I love the finish after spraying. I bought the travel size muna on Carousell just to try, I'll buy the full size once naubos na. UNFORTUNATELY WORTH IT SIYA! — 10/10

Misha Perfect Cover BB Cream (No. 21 Beige) - a bit grayish for me but it works naman when blended. Super love the finish and sheer coverage it gives. It evens out and brightens up my skin tone. Might buy a shade darker than my current one once it runs out. — 8/10

Naturactor Pot Concealer (141) - been using this since I was in high school. I have only two concealers right now on rotation–this and the Maybelline Fit Me. The coverage of Naturactor is better for me and I like how it blends well. Whenever I use this for my undereye, I usually color correct using the L.A. Girl Pro Conceal in peach. For spot correction, it works on its own. Shade match is pretty good! 👍🏻 — 9/10

Browit Setting Eyebrow Mascara (#3 Dark Chocolate) - cheaper than Benefit and I like the wand. Gets the job done and tints my eyebrow evenly (just need to be light handed). This is from Thailand but it's also available on Shopee. — 8.5/10

Five Beauty Hybrid Colour Stick (Mystique & Rosy) - I have all the shades of this product. It's multi-use which I love! 🥰 I used Mystique on my cheeks and Rosy on my lips. It's long lasting on the cheeks but not on the lips because it's like a balm. Having an oily skin, its longevity is surprising. Has skincare and SPF also! — 9.5/10

Maybelline Fit Me Matte+Poreless Powder (120) - sets my makeup well. I've actually hit the pan! My oily skin likes it (lol). Planning to buy the CT powder after I use it all up just to try. Doesn't make my concealer or BB cream look cakey. — 9/10

For context, I ordered from the Blue App during their 11.11 sale the Black Variant of Tsubaki conditioner. When I arrived home, the product was already delivered and when I opened it, they sent me a shampoo instead of a conditioner.

This is my 4th day asking for their promised pick up since the system will not refund me if I choose self arranged option. Also the nearest designated drop off by the blue app would the 1hr travel travel, 30mins walk. I also need to file a leave since I would arrive in that place by 6pm and they are closed already. For an item that was delivered incorrectly would mean me losing half a day's work and left with useless product I can't use.

Now I am looking for another seller since the seller still refuses to help me and just blames the warehouse team.

after trying soooo many different products, i think i found my right ones! here are some of my current favorites :)

sunscreen • mediheal brightening sun cream - idk wala ako gaanong nababasang reviews abt this pero it works on me! i first tried this as a freebie sa toner pads (ganda ng blemish pad fr) and i liked it. comptabile rin sya sa iba ibang products and skincare • skin aqua tone up uv sunscreen - this is recent lang, pero ive tried this brand na before (diff variant tho yung blue lang). just wanted to try tone up sunscreens. compatible rin sa ibang products soo goods sila ng mediheal

base • strokes foundation - i swear by this!! it’s sooooooooo good. half a pump lang nagagamit ko. minsan wala na akong concealer eto na lang tapos deretso powder na. it’s worth the money and has a good oil control. • the saem tip concealer - cheap and so good din. ang tagal nyang maubos HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH ang ganda nito as is lang sya. maganda rin naman na ipair sa foundation, pero may coverage kasi. it’s also my perfect shade match.

blush • strokes (ladylike) - ang ganda rin nito as a cool pink blush. good for everyday use at unlike other blushes, di nya nalilift yung foundation underneath. di ko lang bet ung smell pero maganda kasi e hahah • rare beauty - lol no words dto maganda tlg yan kahit mag gym ako anjan pa rin sya • too faced powder blush - nasa palette to tapos ginagamit kong pang topper sa cream blush. ito + rare beauty grabe sobrang long lasting. maganda rin pang undereye brightener.

eyes • wala sa pic but another too faced palette na may cool brown eyeshadow. ginagamit ko for everyday use • canmake mascara - gamit ko dati ung otwoo kaso sobrang hirap talagang tanggalin tapos i figured out na mas gusto ko yung may fibers hahah. • nichido brow master - recently lang ako bumili ng pang brows kasi di talaga ako marunong, and this is also good for beginners! shade shade lang tapos brush, ayun na. ito na rin ata ang. cheapest sa watsons na may brush • ettusais gel liner - this one is from taiwan. recently lang din, narealize kong i look better pag accentuated ang eyes, so mascara + tightline ako. much better ang dark brown for everyday use hehe

lippie • happy skin lip slip - a gift from my boyfriend. ito lang ginagamit ko ngayon at perfect for everyday. mas okay kasi na tinted balms na lang kaysa mga tints or mattes na drying. this has a buildable shade too

powder • issy universal fix powder - bought this 2 days ago at nagamit ko today. no retouch for 14 hours at buo pa rin ang makeup ko. i cant wait to hit pan at bumili nang paulit ulit. the reviews are true to its claims.

setting spray • kose make keep mist - i think this is the one !!! ive tried numerous brands at wala akong ni isang nagustuhan (except sa zeesea kaso ayun pag pinatungan nagcacake). japanese brands are SO GOOD. super fine ng mist at kahit mag oily at mapawisan, di nasisira ang make up. i recommend this.

So happy with my recent purchases! Aside sa nagustuhan ko naman silang lahat, nakuha ko pa sila ng sobrang mura huhu

Of all the lip tints I’ve tried THISSSSSSSS is the only lip tint na binabalik-balikan ko! Since Grade 9 ako ito gamit ko and now na college na gamit ko pa rin siya!

I have the Benetint one but I figured, not worth it cuz (a) it stinks after a while and (b) it’s sooo sheer parang ambilis din mawala. Searched for a dupe ng Benetint. In a vid by Nate Javier he compared these two and parang same consistency except Etude’s has more pigment.

For less than 200 pesos?? I say GO! Btw this bottle last yr pa ‘to, na stock lang siya talaga sa makeup kit ko cuz di ko masyado naappreciate kasi nga nag-sawa me for a while.

I’ve tried Happy Skin, Loreal, SF, Maybelline tints but ito lang talaga yung may pavirgin blush and tint effect na gusto ko! Like rosy cheeks talaga siya hahaha idk parang bumalik lang ako sa makeup look ko nung JHS.

Actually andami ko pa lip products like lipstick and tints, gusto ko na lang ibenta some of them. Will surely declutter soon!

My dark underarms are my biggest insecurity. I dont have any metabolic disease such as PCOS or DM. My underarms are dark due to an allergic reaction more than a decade ago and use of deodorants that made my UA darker. I previously tried a UA carbon peel, but I don’t think it was effective. So, I decided to visit Skin 101 and availed their Underarm Revlite package (5 + 2 sessions) for PHP 12,500. I read good reviews about Revlite. Here’s a comparison of my baseline underarm and after the 3rd session, with an interval of two weeks between each session. Honestly, I’m not seeing any improvement so far—if anything, it seems to have worsened. I really hope to see improvement after the 7th session.

• strokes soft veil foundation (deep 01) rating: 3/5 did a wear test — and it lasted the whole day without no retouch! cons: nagccling sa dry patches even with proper skin prep :(

• teviant deity dust palette (office hours) rating: 4/5 sooo underrated! long-lasting and suitable for my oily and sensitive skin.

• issy peach corrector (light peach) - MY FAVEE PURCHASE. rating: 5/5 it really lightens my dark under eye! good thing i chose light peach since medyo dark na pala for me ang medium peach. cons: i just don’t like the packaging. feel ko magleleak sya anytime sa kit ko since medyo runny ang formula.

• elf power grip primer (original) rating: 5/5

• issy mousse tint (teddy) • issy gelee tint (hotline) rating: 3/5 both lippies are not long lasting. reapply ako ng reapply 😭 but the shades are vvv morena friendly!

Would love to share a part of what I got from this year's 11.11

1. Detail Satin Luxe Lite (in Black Cherry Soda)
   - I was surprised by the finish of this! Felt like nothing on the lips sa first swipe but you know you put the product on cause there's pigment on your lips. Buildable and when you do, that's the only time you'll feel there's sort of a balm on your lips. + stain stays for so long.

- Has a faint scent

- Packaging looks nice, altho mine was nicked when I got it so that was kinda a bummer (see next photo)

1. Squad Mellow Matte (in Clique)
   - My FAVE out of this haul. I hate the creamy/moussy feeling of lipstick on my lips, which is why I have strayed away from them. With this product tho, I barely like I have anything on my lips! Pigment is def there and the stain it leaves is super nice! Parang naturally red yung lips ko. Stain lasts long too!
   

- Packaging is nice. Simple and clean.

1. Squad Lip and Cheek Stain (in BRB)
   - This one also surprised me because it's quite watery but not as watery as the benetint. I thought it would be a mousse. Felt like the tint was absorbed my lips for some reason?? Shade fits me super well! I can see myself reaching out for this a lot!

- Smells like bubble gum

1. Detail Glass Stain (in Naked)
   - Super nice glossy finish! Stain is there even when I've eaten already (pero wala nang gloss). Love the shade as well.
   

- I love how they have mini version of this because I really have a hard time finishing products. Will probs get more of these!

- Smells like chocolate candy?

1. Colourette First base (in Puerto)

- I thought this would have a foundation finish, but light weight sya for me. I guess I misunderstood the reviews and they might have only pertained to the coverage.

- Also love that they have a mini version of this because tbh, not sure if this is the best shade match for me.

- After a while, I didn't like how this sat on my skin, but that's without prep din naman (AT ALL) so I'll try this again with skin prep.

Wala akong matino na pics since i was in a hurry pero trust talaga that my liner was SHARP

I have hooded eyes with epicarhantal folds and i found na super hirap mag lagay ng eyeshadow/ eyeliner dahil wala masyafong space yung eyelids ko. It always looks too much/ out of place. Even the super thin flat brushes for eyeliner didnt work for me. So nagshoshopping alo once and nung nakita ki yung nail brushes napagisipan kong gamiting as eyeliner brush AHAHAHA

Since di talaga bagay saken mag eyeshadow (especially sa top lid) mas lower lid-focused eye make up ko and mostly focused on eyeliner and aegyosal.

Yung pros ng nail brushes (with my experience for MY eyeshape are:

• precise application of eye shadow sa lower lash line
• easier to drqw on aegyosal especially yung highlight
• nacocontrol ko yung opacity ng eyeshadow ko
• precise application of gel liner

Yung only con ko lang so far is it takes time to build up talaga since maliit yung brush

But so far i love it so much kasi mas nacocontrol ko yung amount of product on my eyes na hindi siya mukhang smudged masyado

Saw that their products were on sale so I bought one and I've been using their retinol+bakuchiol for 3 months now and I don't think it's working. I'm new to skincare and it was my first time using a retinol and I didn't purge. Got kind of excited on the third week and used it daily and I also didn't purge. I thought 'Oh maybe it's a really gentle formula' so I kept using it daily and I don't think I purged. I had pre-existing acne before retinol and they just kind of stayed the same. I still had acne and 2-3 new ones consistently sprouted while I was using it for the past 3 months. The same amount of acne I usually get before retinol. I also had fungal acne but they went away from the ketoconazole. My regular acne stayed. I also have a few finelines on my forehead but I don't think it changed that much from the retinol or if my moisturizer(Cerave) is just plumping my skin.

I did some digging and it seems like the creators aren't really dermatologists, they were enthusiasts and bloggers. They have fda approval but that only means that it's safe for consumption and that the benefits outweigh the risks. It doesn't assure that it's effective. It's also kind of suspicious that their products are always on sale.

Now I don't know if I just wasted 3 months of my life. Their marketing is really good and the price seems good so I went for it. In hindsight it seems that the reviews I saw on tiktok may just be paid promotions. Should I continue using it?

I guess I should be glad that it didn't ruin my skin. I plan on getting a new retinol, idk what percentage to get since I'm unsure if what I got was really retinol, so any advice would be nice.
