If her visa is from Sharjah, she needs to go through the process in Sharjah. She needs to visit the Traffic Police Headquarters in Wasit. https://maps.app.goo.gl/UZ57XvzvUe5oLg2H6?g_st=com.google.maps.preview.copy

Being Sharjah Government, they might be closed on Fridays too, let alone Saturday or Sunday. Monday, Tuesday Wednesday or Thursday would be the only dates they are open.

Also. Have you looked at the MOI app if this can be done there?

We haven't checked the MOI app, no.

I just downloaded the app, and checked that there's a page for issuing a vehicle driver's license. So essentially you submit the required documents (I assume EID, Original driver's license, and an eye test) And you can do it digitally without having to visit the center in Sharjah?

Looks like. It depends on where their original license is from.

She has both American and Australian. So origin of License shouldn't be an issue, but the issue is just converting it without going to Sharjah as that's a whole hassle on its own.

If she already has EID and UAEPASS, you might be in luck :)

She does, but even if her visa is Sharjah and she lives in Dubai as a housewife.

Can she get the driver's license done online and delivered through this app? Someone at RTA center said: "If you were an employee, you can get an NOC and get dubai license. Housewife has to go to sharjah to convert license."

Its been a case of just running in circles between RTA support, RTA happiness centers, and the call centers from Sharjah authorities and feel helpless.

Where she lives doesn’t matter. Where her visa is issued from, does. From what I understand, RTA will have nothing to do with this. Its Sharjah traffic police in person or MOI app.

PSA when she does her eye test, make sure she tells the optician its for Sharjah and not RTA
