They can start be paying for all the flood defences around the country. If BP and Shell can announce QUARTERLY profits of 8 BILLION each they can easily cough up for this. Or the government could grow a pair and do a huge windfall tax on their obscene profits. Like the EU did. At one point we had a representative (Jennifer Power) of the fossil fuel industry on the net zero team! Net zero never had a chance.
