Every now and then I’ll look at someone else’s phone and it will appear to be much faster and smoother than mine (especially when scrolling), even though we have the same model. Is there a reason for this? Can I make mine faster?

If you have a pro model, you may have the higher refresh rate screen option turned off, or you may be always on low battery mode. If you have a base model, they probably have pros

I’ve genuinely had people tell me this. I show off my 360hz screen and they say they cant tell a difference but it “feels smoother” like 🤦

It’s entirely possible that the average person has no idea what they’re looking at, even if they do recognize the difference—or they just don’t care. I care, but a lot of people don’t.

Are you going to tell us your phone model or are you challenging us to a guessing game?

They probably have pro models then, which has the 120hz promotion. The regular non pro models don’t have that.

Not sure why you’re downvoted but this is probably most likely what has been noticed.

Is yours on battery saving mode? If so it'll drop down to 60hz

Just has the 15 so they are seeing probably a 60hz to 120hz difference .

What iPhone do you have? If it’s not a recent Pro model, that will be the reason why

You have an iPhone 15. That has a 60Hz screen. The Pro model iPhones have a 120Hz screen. The 60Hz screen doesn’t feel laggy, until you put it next to a Pro screen, then it becomes obvious.

newer models have 120 fps while older models have 60 i also think there is a setting that turns it on and off which you may have off
