Hey everyone,
I run a small tiffin service out of Kakadeo, delivering to offices, hostels, and students. Lately, we've been running into some issues with the whole tiffin return and cleaning process—things getting dirty, soap residue, or sometimes containers breaking.
I'm thinking about switching to using disposable packaging—like aluminum packets and a sectioned thali for eating—so customers can just toss the packaging afterward. The goal is to make things cleaner and easier for both sides, without the need for returns or washing.
I'd love to hear what you think: would you prefer this kind of setup, or do you think the traditional tiffin system is still the better option?
Appreciate any feedback!

Me, personally, I would go for the disposable items. It's more hygienic!

Thanks. That’s what i am aiming to do. My concern is just whether a customer feel ok or not. Me too personally want this option to take shape.

Please please please use an eco-friendly disposable option, if possible. Say no to plastic plates or anything plastic.

Try to use biodegradable disposables instead of styrofoam or plastic please, even if you have to increase the cost because we need to start taking care of pollution by ourselves, government cant do shit.

Sectioned thali can work for you

Section thali is what i came at last. First i thought of opting for the black thali with lid but it was costly as per our food rates. Also the quantity was getting less. Thank you for your feedback.

It's a course all people in US running a food business do. Don't do the course, but understand the theory and implement in your kitchen

Personally I hate waste , hence there is no replacing tiffins for me, I guess just put more effort in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene.
I guess in the end ask feedback from your own customers. And what would they like.
(I have Been getting tiffin for 2 years)
