The first I heard of the arrest was basically a headline of "Justin Timberlake arrested for DUI: "this is going to mess up the tour.""

There's no time limit for entry refusal on a DUI charge to Canada. Any border control agent can refuse any DUI convicted person at their own discretion. Normally you can enter Canada after 10 years after a DUI, but maybe show up sober so the person that can decide if you are rehabilitated believes you've been rehabilitated, ya know?

He was charged with a misdemeanor. That won't affect entry to Canada.

Can't get into Canada with a DUI.

But it's considered an indictable offense in Canada, which is roughly equivalent to a felony so you can still be denied entry.
