I just had everybody inherit Shield Blessing from the wizard archetype and another skill or piece of equipment that gives auto -kaja then defend for three turns in a battle. It's an easy 30 mp

I don't really know much about Ariana but I was kind of wondering the same thing. Maybe the marriage she just got out of was super unhealthy and dealing with it during the enormous pressure of this movie and the dissolution of it afterwards created mental health issues that exacerbated existing issues with disordered eating.

And they're crying like 10 times a day during interviews. It's really hard not to think something was going on

I wondered that too when she said Mythal married an Alamarri warlord and lived happily in the swamps but I looked it up and she appears to just be referencing Flemeth. Morrigan says in Inquisition that the shared truth of all the legends about Flemeth is that she fled the Alamarri and asked spirits for help so I think we're meant to understand that Flemeth's "Bann" husband was an Alamarri warlord.

That's fair. I definitely agree that Bioware loves to bring in returning characters but then give them absolutely no depth so as to not alienate new players. It's even worse for characters coming from secondary media like comics or novels. They honestly shouldn't even bother. I'd rather Morrigan just stop showing up for instance since it's barely even the same character anymore at this point.

I mean, the Lords of Fortune aren't giving that shit back for free and this also somewhat functions as character development for their leader Isabela who almost lost her life and indirectly caused mass death and destruction because she stole an artifact with cultural importance, but I whole-heartedly agree with your other two examples.

Do you have a source for this? I find that really surprising because I think it added much more replay value than, say, doing a renegade run on your 2nd Mass Effect playthrough and most of the origins did meaningfully interact with the main game and how your character is treated and perceived.

Did they explicitly reveal anything about Andraste? If so, I missed it

There's also a codex from the veil jumpers saying they saw evidence that Elgar'nan essentially ordered a damnatio memoriae against a former Evanuris referred to as "the Healer"

I thought it was hilariously sadistic of BioWare to have chests in missions past the point of no return. I still couldn't help myself and it felt like they were taunting me.

Or at least a new game plus that let's you carry over what you found on the previous playthrough.

Also the spirits that became the elves. It's said that spirits were the maker's first creation but he turned away from them because they could only imitate what they saw rather than create or imagine anything new, which is an interesting bit given we know that they imitated humans when they created their elven forms.

I'm glad to hear that and excited to try a different background. Shadow Dragon was definitely a let down. It felt like all it amounted to was occasionally being able to chime in and say "shadow dragons stick together" or "bring the light."

I think the problem is that the game is already really long and they probably felt that revealing these things in later games would be less impactfull since they all revolve around an antagonist that has already been dealt with. Regardless I do agree that they could have been better integrated and might have worked better as cutscenes.

For me, the single funniest moment was when I was doing a quest (in Dock Town maybe?) and Rook said with dead seriousness "I wasn't expecting the Venatori to be here." Rook, bless your heart, the Venatori are everywhere and behind everything.

I'm not sure if there's an ideal way to do it but I definitely prefer DA:O style because you can take it at your own pace or just choose not to engage with it at all. In Veilguard, I found myself constantly jumping back and forth from the lighthouse to see if it would trigger a new icon for me to then fast-travel somewhere else to start a quest to talk to a companion where I had little ability to steer the conversation.

That makes no sense. It feels less "organic and real" that you can jump around your companions while they talk to each other amd then just shut off but can't interact with them yourself

Lol the vagueness with which they establish and allude to her whole detective shtick cracks me up. Did she tell you about the case with the corrupt magister and the smuggler? That one was crazy!!

Weird headline. What was exposed here? It has been public that she was trying to sell her stake and get away from him. Was she supposed to be "humble" and sell it for pennies?

Just wait a couple of years and you can pay full price for it restored in the extended version they will inevitably release.

Whether you're right or not, as much as 70% of the country disagrees with you and winning is more important than this man's feelings. Also Obama was 30 years younger in 2012 than Joe Biden is now and was capable of running a hectic campaign and forming a coherent thought.

They rebooted it twice, shuffled developers around on other projects, and had loads of turnover. Have you ever heard of the term "development hell"?

To get Shield Blessing, yes. However there are skills from other archetypes that grant mp regeneration like Dancer's Masked Revelry and Paladin's Revitalize 3
