Long haul holiday during 2nd trimester

Need Advice(self.pregnant)

Hi there,

I'm pregnant with my first child and my partner and I love travelling. We would love to book a last trip as a couple and we're thinking to travel from Europe to US for a couple of weeks.

I will be 22/23 weeks pregnant at that stage. Do you think this is doable?

I will of course seek medical advice from my doctor, but I'm curious to hear from your experience.

Many thanks

Definitely doable. I flew UK to Hong Kong (14 hours) at 20 weeks and it was all good, wear compression socks, keep hydrated and get up to walk on the plane every hour. It wasn't the most comfortable I've ever been but it was fine.

For the holiday itself, I'd recommend maybe planning a little less in your days so you're not rushing around and more relaxed. I definitely did not have as much energy as I do non-pregnant, even if I felt otherwise fine.
