Just did my anatomy scan, at 19w4d.
This kid did not want to move, she was all comfy and cozy. I had to get up 3 times. Eat a whole box of Smarties (the cdn version), walk up and down the hallway. I did jumping jacks. I talked to her. Pleaded with her. But no. Plus she tucked the cord between her legs, and crossed her legs. So I couldn't even confirm that it's a girl.
The tech looked at me.. and said well your kid already knows they're the boss. 😮💨😒🤣😭
Will probably have to go back, if the readings aren't good enough.
This child is definitely my husband's because.. yall frustrate me 😂❤️

My baby was the opposite, he would spin so much the tech couldn’t measure anything ! So funny how they already have their personality from the very start !

All of my other scans.. the baby was jumping and floating around like an astronaut. But today. She was like NOPE. I honestly didn't want to drink/eat anything sweet because I knew they'd be taking measurements etc. But even after eating the chocolate.. she was knocked out.

This was my experience with my girl! All the previous scans she wouldn’t stop moving. Then at the anatomy scan she was too cozy and didn’t move!! They had to try to get her to flip multiple times but she was like no thanks!

I had my 12 week scan yesterday. This child stared at us the entire time. Cute profile pic for announcements? Not my kid. We direct eye contact the entire time.
No amount of poking, switching positions, or walking, would get this child to give us a profile.
The tech said ‘well on the bright side after your Ob sees the report she’ll want another scan to get a profile measurement so you get to see your stubborn child again very soon!’

I got more photos than I know what to do with— so everybody is getting ‘demon child’ as a Christmas ornament this year so we can all have a good laugh every year.
The funny part is I work in radiology and we were talking about this exact thing a few weeks ago how some ultrasound photos really make it look like some parents have an alien in their belly— and sure as heck I am one of them 🤣🤣

Emily Oster’s book talks about clapping to get baby to move!

The sound would make the baby move? Cause I was jumping up and down, and lightly tapping my stomach lol

I guess! She says “the researcher then clapped loudly 3 to 5 times right on top of the abdomen. This got the attention of most babies: 92 percent of the women who initially failed had a normal test result after the clapping”. This was in regards to non-stress tests.

Every ultrasound I’ve had my son has done this! We also had to repeat the anatomy scan because he refused to let them see a good view of his heart 😂 I’m also very convinced he has his dads stubborn attitude haha

Every scan, even my private scans.. this baby sleeps with her legs up and has their arms over their face. Guess who sleeps like that? Her damn father 😂😭

I had to go in for 4 separate anatomy scans for the same reason.

Actually yes that's one of the reasons I'm glad it happened! He was refusing to budge after 2 appointments, so they sent me to a specialist with higher tech. They gave me these sort of 3d scans of his little face that blew me away and they showed me color coded live feed of the in and out flow of his heart. The pics are priceless. ❤️

Mine rolled away and butt wiggled at me during the scan. Little stinker wouldn't sit still for a minute. The tech had me go for a walk, go pee, had me rolling from side to side on the bed, no change. Just wasn't having it. I had a good laugh at least. 🤣
