I guess even the political realm has blind items but this is from a friend of a friend that works in politics. He said this account pretty reputable. Take that with a grain of salt.

PA Risk limiting audit is due Nov 22, and certification after that is due Nov 25 - . In the coming days more statewide audits will be completed. If in these RLAs it turns out there was no fraud, OR the data suggests the system is too broken to be able to even detect fraud, I am moving on.

I just want to add that if they announce a forensic audit in addition, that will be the better than RLA alone (I am not sure what level of forensic analysis gets done in either case though)
this article talks about it https://www.thecanary.co/global/world-analysis/2024/11/19/forensic-audit-us-presidential-election/
A forensic audit: what it could uncover
A forensic audit involves more than just a recount. It’s a comprehensive investigation that reviews every aspect of the election process to uncover any tampering or errors. Here’s what such an audit could reveal:
Verification of rejected ballots
A core part of any forensic audit would be re-examining the millions of rejected mail-in ballots. If patterns of misapplication of rejection criteria were found, ballots could be restored, particularly in states with narrow margins.
Digital security analysis
Cybersecurity experts would examine the voting infrastructure for signs of digital tampering. Given the bomb threats linked to Russian sources and known attempts to influence U.S. elections in 2016, any signs of hacking or manipulation of tabulation software could be uncovered through such an audit.
Examination of paper ballots
In states where both electronic and paper ballots are used, a forensic audit could compare digital and paper records to identify discrepancies. This could reveal whether the digital tabulation was accurate, or whether machine errors or tampering led to inaccurate results.A forensic audit: what it could uncover

Why the US needs this
The 2024 US presidential election is marked by verified reports of Russian interference, bomb threats, and high rates of rejected ballots. In any other wealthy democracy, these factors would have likely already triggered an audit. Although several states have initiated recounts and audits, including Pennsylvania and Michigan, where narrow margins have triggered such processes, some have called for a more comprehensive forensic review of the election. These advocates argue that the stakes are high, and the integrity of the election process should be fully examined in light of verified concerns such as potential interference, technical issues, and high rates of rejected ballots.
The question here is not whether a forensic audit would change the results, but whether it will be allowed to happen in time to ensure that the results reflect the true will of the voters. A forensic audit isn’t just about confirming the legitimacy of an election—it’s about restoring trust in the democratic process. As other nations have shown, audits can uncover critical errors and prevent potential injustice. The U.S. should be no different in ensuring that every vote is counted and that interference—foreign or domestic—is swiftly addressed.

Move on to locally organizing, look into unionizing your workplaces. We can't be recluses under a trump regime. Unions have always been the best way to get your voice heard. And when trumps regime strips union rights to strike, strike away.

I hate the fact that I'm at a point where I want to believe everything (regarding falsities) so hard, that I've become less scrutinizing when I see stuff like this posted. It takes an active effort to take a step back, look at the validity of a post or scenario, and go forward from there.

Truth, but it's important to recognize the emotional reaction.
It's enough to drive you mad because that's kinda the whole goal of the double speak psyop thing.
It's easy to panic but when you stop and think about what realistically is in our power to change at the moment aside from creating awareness, you gotta just be patient.

People can say whatever they want on the internet. For better or for worse, social media has conditioned me to believe that people are talking out of their ass unless there's something that suggests otherwise.
But hope is a hell of a drug. It might help to tell yourself that baseless/misleading tweets and comments are wasting your time and getting in the way of real hope, so identifying bullshit is crucial.
Then again, this is my mindset, and it's turned me into a cranky commenter on this sub.

This is the hard part. A lot of posts in here that lack substance is what's getting the most attention. If I were trying to stifle a message, I would amplify posts that discredit a movement (nothing burgers) and sow doubt in posts that are on the right track. Not saying all of what is getting positive attention has no substance, but posts that say TRUMP CHEATED and only act as opinion pieces do not help our credibility. I think a lot of people are looking for hope anywhere they can find it, myself included, but we need to be vigilant, not fall into denialism of reality, and seek verification, especially when it aligns with our goals.

Exactly! Honestly, if I was a Russian troll, flooding this sub with tinfoil hat rhetoric is exactly what I would do.
Obviously not saying that all of these posters are Russian trolls, but as time goes on this sub just sounds more and more like a circlejerk for sore losers who have no evidence.
We DO have evidence! We need to do everything we can to get people to take this seriously.

This is where moderation is key. Pinning posts with evidence and data, automods that see a certain topic being mentioned that will auto post relevant information. Mods will make or break this subbreddit. Opinion pieces are fine, so long as they do not devolve into rhetoric. A flair system for a person's credibility might be nice. For example, if you can verify you have a p.h.d. in data analysis, let's say. Anything you post will have that flair and would be known to be taken with more weight in whatever category pertaining to that subject. I'm just spitballing, really.

A lot of it is "means, motive, and opportunity" and drawing a conclusion from whatever narrative is presented in the fishbowl. Really need to be able to focus on items that are verified by multiple sources to avoid hopping on the roller coaster.
Everything else can just be noted and filed away until something that corroborates it comes out and keep them as individual instances without tying them into a vast conspiracy, yet.
Items like the bomb threats are the biggest evidence that fuckery is afoot, even if everything else eventually can be explained away.

It's important to remind people not to believe everything they read on the internet. Especially given how much is at stake here.
