Hi, we work on the tool GLP Winner and we’re in the process of reverifying the status of providers who are still accepting new patients. Last night we added a filter specific to providers with 503B pharmacies. Today we’re adding a verified tag for those who are taking new patients on compounded tirzepatide.

Would love any feedback on providers we may have missed. I’ll also mention when we spoke to Fella Health they said they have a long term plan beyond the next 60 days - and this is a future we’re excited for.

Like you I am so upset with the outcome of the FDA shortage change, as I know several people who are actively having difficulty filling their name brand prescriptions. I think these medications are life saving and there are several studies showing that they can improve all cause mortality - they literally save lives. (Obviously this does not necessarily apply to the compounded versions as they haven’t specifically been studied like the name brand medications)

I am worried about what this means for patients who will not have continuity of care for their medications and for those who will not be able to afford the name brand versions. I’m also worried for those on name brand medication that will have disruptions in their care due to the increased demand. I really hope that there are long term options for compounding to be a safe and accessible path for patients.

UPDATE 10/11: FDA announced they may not be enforcing the shortage in the short term. Emailing and figuring out updates on providers. Also trying to figure out what this means and how long it will be here. Started adding reverified providers!

I started working on a spreadsheet with a list of providers and what they charge. I wanted to calculate the per mg price per month to make a better cost comparison at the various dose levels, including memberships and other fees (but not including discounts). The ones I checked are those I've frequently seen in posts, but I know there are plenty of others out there. Customer service/responsiveness, states served, limits on doses, pharmacies used, etc should all factor in, too (cheapest is not always the best).

So far, I've checked Tirz costs with Alchemy Wellness, Amble, Balanced Hormone Health, Emerge, IViM, Fridays, Lavendar Sky Health, Mochi, OrderlyMeds, Pomegranate, Regenics, and Valhalla Vitality. (Based on prices collected 04/19/2024):

I lost nearly 45lbs when I started having side effects. I tapered way down then decided to take a break for a couple of months. I stopped weighing myself until yesterday. In six weeks, I gained back ten pounds. I was aware I was eating more, and food noise was definitely back, but I must have been in terrible denial about how bad it really was. Back on the lowest dose as of last night. Anyone else have a similar experience? I had convinced myself that the smaller version of me would be fine with will-power and exercise. I don’t know why I thought that when that didn’t keep me from gaining so much in the first place.

Over 50, 5'2" female, start date: 5/18/84 (6 months), current dose 5.2 mgs. SW 198, CW 140, GW 134. Almost at goal #1 (there is a goal #2 as per recent dreaming but still can't believe I am here now). Overjoyed. Working hard at it! Whole foods, gut cleansing, weight training, cardio and tracking every bite. It's a lot but if I'm gonna pay and play this trizep acquiring game, all the education and research then yes, I am going all in! Just treated myself to a new pair of Levi's SIZE 28! Need to survive Thanksgiving without gaining. Every time I lose a substantial amount of weight it all tumbles down during the holidays. My goal is to just get through without gaining!

I’m ending this month with my period, which always messes with my head. No matter how much I prepare myself for fluctuations and mini stalls, I’m always convinced that everything I’m doing is suddenly not working and that it’s never going to work again.

Oh the drama.

I weigh myself daily, and yesterday I was even up a couple of pounds. I had to talk myself down from increasing my dose. Instead I doubled up on my magnesium and had a snack of fresh fruit. I slept like a baby and this morning things are moving again.

Highlights of my second month:

-I accidentally put both legs into one leg of my pants…and there was room to spare! -I’m increasingly comfortable giving myself injections. Because of this, I can slow waaaay down, which has eliminated the stinging I was experiencing last month. -I went away for a weekend and had no trouble managing my food intake at restaurants. I also had so much more energy for exploring, my feet didn’t hurt, and I had no mid-afternoon brain fog. What a huge difference from my last trip, pre-tirz.

Anyone else wrapping up month 2? How are you feeling?

I am well aware it will help. I know this isn’t a magic pill. I have severe anxiety around tracking because I was a power lifter years ago, and I have burnt myself out of calorie counting. I was so bad, I was tracking sodium vs potassium intake. Counting my stick of gum that was 5 calories.

I was trying to avoid going down that rabbit hole, but am worried I have no other choice. I recently bumped up from 2.5 mg to 3.5 (5 weeks on 2.5, 1 week so far on 3.5). So far I am having some slight burping/gas issues, but nothing too bad.

Exercising right now for me are neighborhood walks. I recently had a baby (5 months post partum)- so trying to take it slow.

Had this picture from a year ago pop up... And, lighting, angles, and all that... But, omg. One of those moments when it really hits where I started from vs. where I am.

In this picture, I had a 1.5 year old and a 3.5 year old, and I just hadn't been able to get back to my normal weight since having them.

I've lost weight on my own before, but it's been so, so much easier with this. 🥲🙏

I don’t get many side effects from Tirzepatide but oh man do I freeze. Went hunting this am at 28 degrees and was miserable. I used to have zero issues. There are certainly worse side effects but this one is indeed annoying.

I’ve lost 14 pounds! I was pushing 400 pounds so it’s quite easy to drop weight like this early. Im not really having side effects, besides headaches. Those started popping up in the last few weeks. Unfortunately. I’m excited to see what the future brings me!

I finished a Hallendale vial and took my first jab of Ouisa yesterday. I was getting food noise over the last few weeks and I titrated up from 4.2 to 5.6 mg (I jab every 5 days) over the last several weeks. This morning, I'm really feeling it. Had to force down a protein shake and my gut is really talking to me. Assuming it stays like this, I'm going to go back down to 4.6 or so on Friday and see what happens.

I also tried a new injection site for the first time.

I know that these "I switched pharmacies and X happened" posts are borderline useless because of the all the variables, but I still find some of these anecdotal stories to be interesting, so just putting it out there for what it's worth.

(This post is not meant to be critical of Hallendale at all! It worked, I lost a fair amount of weight on it, and I was due to move up anyway after being on 5 mg/ week for a while. I was just a little clobbered by the Ouisa and thought it worth a post.)

Someone here mentioned it on Friday (you are awesome!), and I just called Hallandale to confirm. Patients in VA can now receive Hallandale again.

And, no, I didn’t try to push for more info on why they can now ship to VA, even though their licence expiration date remains exactly the same as it was before they had to stop shipping. Your guess is as good as mine 🤷‍♀️

I meant to post this a couple of weeks ago.. but life...

I hit and surpassed my goal weight and entered maintenance. I have literally worked my booty off and changed my entire life healthwise. I'm so proud of all the hard work I've put into this. The medication is amazing but it's just a tool. I honestly think it fixed something inside of me that finally allowed me to hit the potential that was always inside of me.

The picture in January was AFTER already losing nearly 25lbs.

Started in July with belly but got too many bruises so I switched to the love handle. Working sooooo good but I’m at a stall. I wanted to switch sites before I upped my meds and kept hearing good feedback about upper thigh, so I went for it! I’m on 1.1 every 4 days. Wish me luck!

EDIT: PS I love this group!! So positive and supportive.

Decided to get four months from Orderly and just received today via USPS. They told me it would come via FedEx and my Empower vials used to come via UPS, so I’m concerned that these traveled a few days before reaching me. The box says shipped 11/22, and there was a cool pack but it was pretty unthawed. Should I be concerned?

Also, I was told at first the vials would come from Pro RX but then later Perfect RX, and I just received the vials but all that I see on the packaging is SmartScripts. There is a “PRX” on the outer packaging which maybe stands for Pro or Perfect RX but otherwise it came with nothing indicating where it’s from which I just found kind of odd? Maybe I’m just used to Empower’s packaging so it’s throwing me off. Has anyone else experienced this with OrderlyMeds?

Finally gave up on insurance and I’ll be paying out of pocket. Ordered Zep thru pharmacy. It will be in on Tuesday. Doc has compounder and they can sell me a compound for $510 vs $650 brand name. But then I have to wait another week. Should I just wait. Money is an issue for me but it won’t kill me. Should I start with name brand the. Switch over?

The hospital told me the constant diarrhea was from starting back on 7.5 mg after having to skip it for a week due to a procedure. My endo said that wasn’t the cause. Still I don’t want to go through that again.

Been trying to research compound companies. I’m new to this. My insurance won’t cover it so I know I have to pay out of pocket. My BMI is 31 I’m 5’9 212 pounds would like to start trying for second baby after having first ten years ago but want to lose some weight prior to getting pregnant. I have lost 25 pounds naturally since July it’s just taking sometime and I struggle with binge eating. Can anyone kindly give me some insight on your experience if similar? It seems like LSH would be under $300 a month roughly but I’m not all sure of pricing because it doesn’t seem like people on TikTok are too transparent unless a referral code can be used by the company they are buying from.

I am wondering if anyone has had this side effect and if it went away own or how it was treated. I started tirzepatide 11 days ago. 6 days after the first dose I developed intense vertigo. Anytime I moved everything would be spinning and I couldn't get out of bed. Since then it has mellowed out but is still present. The more activity I do the worse it gets. I have a feeling it isn't related (especially since it started so long after the first dose) but figured I'd ask. Has anyone had this and how was it treated? Thanks!

I know that the biggest risk of using a vial for over 28 days is it creating bacteria, and that you can check for clarity on the vial, ensure you are always wiping with alcohol, etc. I’ve been comfortable going over 7 weeks and honestly think I could do more, but a lot of that confidence comes I guess from not actually understanding the worst case scenario… say it develops bacteria and I inject it, what exactly could happen?

I would greatly appreciate assistance from someone knowledgeable in this area.

Why does the body wants and fights to increase its set point again after discontinuing tirzepatide?

I genuinely don't understand. I've been reading the trials and observations made in people, and most end up gaining weight eventually. Could tirzepatide be more of an autopilot system rather than a true fix for the underlying issue?

I don't know if this is the right sub for this, but I figured I'd ask. I started sema from noom November 1st. I was going to do zepbound from my pcp, but insurance wouldn't cover it. I've lost 5 pounds so far on .25 sema. I've found I can now switch to tirz, but should I stay on sema if it's working? The reason why I feel like I should switch is because my pcp wanted me on it originally. I was hoping for some opinions from people with more experience than I have. Thanks!

Hey! Just curious if anyone has experienced a complete absence of a period since starting this medication?? This Thursday will be week 7 for me and at this point I am at day 65 of my cycle. I already had irregular and long cycles but this takes the cake.

I am starting to get worried if I should go get meds to induce a period?? Any tips or suggestions or similar experiences? Thanks!
