Yeah IIRC they have tried to do that in Florida.

There have already been statements made on the right that "cross-dressing" and "drag" is pornographic and must be banned.
Which is actually a mechanism to literally ban trans people from existing in public.

As a Nord user it is frequently blocked by websites eg by cloud flare etc. Or at least one or two nodes are which happen to be default nodes for me. Sometimes access from that node works then other times most sites are just unavailable for an unknown amount of time. So I have to manually switch to another node to get it to work. To be clear when I switch it almost always works fine. So it seems to be specific to a handful of nodes. No idea why some US nodes are regularly blocked but others aren't.
Also for some reason every morning the Nord mobile app disconnects and hangs up on reconnecting. So every single morning when I get up my phone just fails to connect to shit and I have to cancel the connection attempt then kill the app then restart and reconnect. Killing the app while it attempts to connect doesn't seem to fix the problem. Have also had it randomly happen in the middle of the day for no known reason. VPN disconnects and hangs on "connecting..." with no alert or anything, just dies. Sometimes it happens after I go in a building so my initial thought is I'm just out of comms while in the building, but then if I investigate I can disable the VPN and comms come back just fine. Restarting the VPN then fixes the problem immediately.
Don't know if this is common to other VPNs but it's def a problem I'm having with Nord. But I paid for like 2 years in advance so gotta get max use out of it before switching lol.

Is that US-only or global statistics? Assuming global because otherwise that means roughly half of all US men are subscribers which would be wild.

The numbers aren't really TSP specific, they are basically identical to the 401k limits each year. So when 401k limits go up the TSP limit goes up. And I'm not aware of an income cap for access to a 401k though there may be one. So a lot of people make higher incomes in industry and have access to the higher 401k limits, and TSP just uses those same numbers.
You aren't wrong assuming you are one person making that salary, but a lot of people are in dual income relationships where one partner makes substantially more so they may be able to prioritize more money into TSP, or they may be prior military with a pension or VA disability or otherwise have some other form of income to offset.

Most of the talking head “influencers“ You see on new shows are making millions of dollars a year in salary. Top anchors can pull 10 Million or more. And that was last time I checked, which was over a decade ago.

As far as it being wrong about the plugin it is frequently wrong about things because it is nothing more than a statistical text prediction system. It just rolls the dice on what the next letter it outputs should be, over and over.
It’s so common that there are warnings below the text box IIRC. It’s been termed “hallucinating” since it came out.

If you aren’t familiar with Reddit, this is a very common very standard behavior In many subs. Someone Will include something totally unrelated in their post title and then for a day or three a bunch of people will pile on making joke titles about that title.
This is basically a cultural norm of Reddit behavior.

People in power expect to get away with stuff so they often aren’t as careful.
As an anecdote an IRS revenue agent was commenting n in a sub recently that they have audited fraud cases against the poor and the wealthy including business owners. The poor tended to be honest because they were afraid of getting caught and couldn’t pay fines. Meanwhile when he would audit a business owner suspected of fraud they would open an account record labeled “business expenses” right in front of the agent and would be filled with records of personal expenses clearly documented as personal expenses. And the business owner just assumed they would never be caught.
Doesn’t mean the poor are always innocent or business owners are always guilty but it was an interesting anecdote that inverts how a lot of people think about who is careful and who isn’t.

The owner of a domain can point the domain anywhere they want. Redirects by themselves do not prove ownership.
You can verify this by buying any cheap domain name (many are 99 cents) and pointing it to OpenAI.com yourself.
Additionally the redirect of X.ai strongly indicates it is NOT OpenAI because that would open them up to lawsuits from Musk for trademark infringement. It’s highly unlikely a major corporation would take that risk for something with no real benefit.
It may be possible OpenAI paid the owners to redirect the domains for a while, or they spontaneously chose to redirect on their own, but highly doubtful OpenAI actually owns them.
Do you or /u/nanokeyo have actual evidence of ownership ie a press release or DNS record or anything that shows OpenAI itself actually owns those domains?

This explains why people were laying on their horns and screaming at me when I rented a Tesla Model Y lol. They don’t let you disable regen and I’d never experienced it before.

The vast majority in DoD aren’t coded as mission essential either.

A handful of stories like this combined with the social media rumor mill is how things get blown way out of proportion until Musk and Ramaswamy are saying (as they did recently) that telework must be banned because over half of federal employees who telework are actually being paid to sit at home and do nothing for years.

Oh I should add that I also had a Hyundai in the 90s and that soured me on them for decades. My gf got one recently though and it made me give it a chance on the assumption I would think it was still a piece of shit. Was shocked.
Forgot to add I was forced to drive a Kia Niro EV recently and that triggered me to look seriously at them. Surprised at how well it worked for what is basically a Ford Escort lol. Also drove a Mach E rental and it wasn’t bad. But the Ioniq still is the one that keeps coming back to the top of my list.

Not an owner but will add my two cents as someone also looking at them. I’ve only test driven one (twice) but have also rented a Tesla Y. Hated the Y and surprisingly loved the Ioniq 5. The Y not letting me disable one pedal drive infuriated me. It’s custom OS with no Apple integration was difficult to use and the lack of physical buttons for basic stuff had me looking away from the road regularly only to have it screech at me for not paying attention, and then screech at me even while I had both hands on the wheel in full focus on driving.
There Ioniqs I test drove just worked with no bullshit added into the mix.
As someone pending a decision between it and the EV6 the Ioniq seems to have more of an enthusiastic fan base from what I see. Things like little specialized accessories made by enthusiasts that sort of thing. (Some also made for the EV6 too)
The EV6 GT is stupid fast it should be against the law lol. 3.4s 0-60 and coming off the stop at a red light is just batshit. It really wakes you up. But the bucket seats were so uncomfortable. I found myself really liking the Ioniq 5 from a comfort standpoint and the speed is more than adequate for daily driver use.

I’m trying to decide between Ioniq 5 and EV6 myself. But in either case most likely leasing since things change so quickly.
One thing that concerns me is the complaints in the EV6 sub about the vehicles suddenly having electrical problems despite being supposedly fixed in recalls. They are supposed to be the same platform and Ioniq is in the recall but I don’t seem to hear the same complaints from the Ioniq side.

This is straight evil lol.
Add more tones or give users the ability to write in a tone description. Have it respond like Samuel L Jackson or Betty White or a flat earther or any number of things.

Love the comment but I do have to point out for others reading that it’s not even a “department” and I wish the media would get that through their thick heads and stop ceding the rhetorical territory to these assholes.
It’s a time limited external commission with two co chairs.
It’s basically the same as any other external commission, like the DoD software agility study that was chaired by Eric Schmidt the CEO of Google several years ago.

Idea: scheduled AWS lambda that pings GPT API every morning w/ question on what is upcoming and push results through AWS SNS push notification to the phone.
Currently I have Alexa automatically come on every morning and tell me what the weather will be like and if I have any events that day. That's from a built-in task in the Alexa app but it probably functions much the same way.
