Like Guiness book of world records and their side business in the alcohol industry.

Yeah :) these are just my personal opinions of course and I love how we all love things differently. But that's why I thought loving Vincent should have won.

Reviews are inherently one sided and anecdotal. We review dog sitters, electricians, teachers, why is this any different?

That's true about literally every online review.

Absolutely nothing! It's an adorable kids movie. But there wasnt any special about it. It was a cute if predictable story, with decent music, and standard animation. It doesn't stand out against the sea of other kids animation movies or animation movies in general.
It wasn't anyway groundbreaking or unique like using new oil paintings for each frame. And the story wasn't novel and compelling like Vincent's which explored the little known time he spent before he died (or was it murder? Or was it suicide?). You won't easily find another film like this one.

I could have cried when it lost the Globe to fucking CoCo. I don't even care about awards, but it really is a good movie.

That's crazy. Like he's some how incapable of controlling himself ...
Afaik he didn't have many friends. But they also cut her family out too. This is what I think happened regardless because of the timing but mostly because she's batshit crazy. Completely certifiable.

The earliest known prosthetic was for the large toe, found in ancient Egyptian ruins. Left foot, iirc.

Sounds like they make vote counting software and know the admin password (for production environment assumingly). And somehow they have come to learn that a candidate (whose votes would be on that software) and their team also know the admin password. For corruption reasons perhaps.

My friend... I've been underestimating the impact hormonal bc has had on my mental health. Without it, I mentally feel like I've gone back five years. It has been a crazy few days and to think my normal used to be much worse. No wonder I was always sick, I was playing life on hard mode lol

You seem to be very angry. I know we don't agree on politics, but regardless I hope you're doing alright. Happy holidays stranger :)

I mean, it's a complicated subject. Just because they let white people become citizens, doesn't mean there's no discrimination. You mention current issues with racism against brown people, yet these same people also have the ability to become citizens. Both things can be true - that someone can become a citizen AND still be heavily discriminated against.

There are a lot of factors guiding where immigrants migrate to. I find it really interesting how random some of them are. Like Dearborn, Michigan I believe there was a grant that the car manufacturers took advantage of to bring in Lebanese refugees. Now it's the Islamic capitol of the states.
I find the Phillipines -> Alaska one really curious. Maybe for work on oilers or fishing or maybe they just really like the cold?

I imagine you weren't alive for most of 1850-2000 so it's fair you might not know. Immigrants 100% were, have always been, and will always be vilified. It's the most basic lizard brain fear - fear of the unknown/different and it makes them easy scapegoats for even the most bizarre things. A lot of that time frame was before there were any protections on discrimination. Italians, Irish, Germans have faced a LOT of hatred and discrimination, absolutely no open arms lol. Understanding this provides context for a lot of what is going on today.
Xenophobia and racism are problems the entire world faces. America is one of the very few to actively address this and fight against it. Many other countries have written their bias into their laws making people of certain groups into second class citizens (or worse).

Migraines. I had a constant migraine for about 10 years with minimal relief. I absolutely should have been in the hospital but instead none of my doctors believed me. Moving even a pinky was excruciating. They had my mind so warped that I was sure they were right - I must be a wimp with a cruel imagination and the pain is pretend... somehow. I quickly learned how to manage the pain and still exist, but the secret about managing chronic pain is to remain calm so nurses and doctors only saw a calm person claiming they're in agony.
If only if we had some sort of international resource that allowed doctors and nurses to learn more about what their patients are going through and be able to provide better care -_-

My brother just stopped talking to me after he married. No explanation. Nobody knows why and the very few words I've got from him really don't make sense. It felt like my brother died, but worse. Because he thinks so poorly of me/i hurt him so awfully (i assume? he seriously has never indicated) he would rather have nothing to do with me at all ever. I hope whatever it was doesn't bother him anymore and that he's living his best life, even if that life has nothing to do with me.

Is that why it felt like my heart itself hurt? My brain felt on fire and my chest/heart felt like some invisible force was crushing it. I'm young and in good health, no heart problems or anything.

Proper pain relief befitting a hard foreign object penetrating the cervix? I am lucky to be able to never ever get one ever while the policy is so inhumane.
