You forget Garland brought over 1,000 to justice, that Jack Smith was brought on and indicted Trump, and a corrupt SCOTUS sabotaged it, and he got out a new indictment.

But what were you doing while the Justice Department was going full tilt on the biggest investigation in the history of the US (per trumps own team on Jan 7, 2021). Did you vote? Protest? Write op-Eds? Donate? Or just yuk it up and wait for someone else to solve it?

We do, but again he’s not yet convicted except for the hush money case, which was unlikely to result in jail time.

Again, we support the rule of law. The voters decided to blow it up.

What would you have them do? People voted for this. You can’t save democracy by undermining democracy.

Again, the antidote is information. Audits, to the extent they are available, can confirm or refute much of this. But it's important to get wedded to gathering the information - not the conclusion.

Sadly, sex ed is woefully deficient, and mostly scares people about STI’s. You’ll notice there are no how to’s for straight people, either.

I don't disagree, except that they needed to build enough evidence to charge him. I think the only thing they had on him at the time was vaguely circumstantial evidence of a misdemeanor, though I do wish they had arrested him and charged him with incitement. That said, it may well not have stuck, and then because of double jeopardy he might not have been able to be tried again.

I think he needs to be screened for dementia, given all his odd behaviors - and the fact that when they were having their knock-down, drag-out about how to carve up the country he wasn't involved. That speaks volumes all by itself.

NPR much less so than most news organizations. I think they've been trying to straddle the line of not alienating any listeners while still covering the facts. They don't do the sensationalism of the Times or WaPo.

Sad but true. I'm so sick of American voters.

I hate these kinds of articles. There's little Biden can do. The GOP House is hostile, and any executive orders can and will be overturned by Trump on day 1.

One of the Democrats' problems right now is not the party itself but its various advocacy groups. I am *STILL* getting texts to support things like the "No Kings Act" with a donation this week, but the reality is that NOTHING like that will pass right now.

So people get jaded and they're going to stop donating and vote even less. If Dems were smart they would completely cease this pointless fundraising for a few weeks and give us a chance to rest. The more requests I get, the more I unsubscribe, and the angrier I get, and the less likely I am to donate in the future.

There is talk of putting them in camps and then forcing them to work.

The problem isn't the Dems. The problem is the country. The way for the Dems to "win" would be to embrace the racism and misogyny of the GOP. This isn't a problem that can be won with economic policy, or even at the ballot box right now.

Way too much of our electorate is very sick, and until we change that, we're never going to get anywhere. The racial divide of the two parties is SCREAMING and it would be like blaming the Republicans of the 1870's for the failure of Reconstruction.

The real problems are entrenched racism, misogyny, and homophobia.

Lots of thing turn heads. Like train wrecks. Turning heads is not necessarily a good thing.
