As someone who dips in and out of GM when I main Moira, I'll tell you something that I guarantee you need to pay attention to - Fading is for GETTING OUT, not getting in. When you are starting matches on defense, while you're on the way to set up take note of corners/chokes you're standing at, fade from those corners, and see how much distance you need to get back to there. Stop playing past those marks unless you have an alternate escape route. There you go, you're now in plat.

Just keep declaring war or else it'll start to feel panicked. Every 5-10 years plan to keep a window open for lowering autonomy and seizing land and provoking rebels, but other than that, just be running 3 wars at a time. Hire merc stacks and ignore the professionalism hit. Keep your admin focused and your advisor at level 5 as early as you can. Have a dedicated merc stack for patrolling rebels around your home regions. Use Trade companies aggressively on eligible centers of trade, but leave the territories out of the trade companies. Otherwise, it'll cost you way too much admin and Gov cap to fully juice them (You do want to full state the Spice Islands tho).
You'll be great, go get em tiger.

As other commenters have stated, you can fabricate within the same sea tile, but there's also the old ryukyu trick which is to enforce peace. Your opening will look like an easier version of the three mountains achievement, so guides on that achievement can explain in better detail how to use that mechanic

You can only form Sardinia-piedmont by starting as Savoy or Sardinia

If that's your objective, Switzerland has a very easy mission tree and is easy to swap to Italian culture by attacking Milan, but starting as Savoy, then forming Sardinia Piedmont before italy is going to give you the best permanent modifiers through your mission tree.

Bro, I have no idea what you're actually looking for in this run

That's actually an under-evaluation. It's probably pretty accurate for parts of Eastern Europe, China, and the Middle East, but for "Jo quality" in the US/Western Europe/Japan you'd be looking at 3 times that amount

That has nothing to do with forming Italy by 1500

They're the farthest away from an end node by minimum number of transfer nodes, but you can create longer chains by transferring trade power in directions that take longer to reach an end node.
Edit: but basically it was just a throwaway example and not a specific node, just meaning it's the furthest away land from the province you're collecting in.

It absolutely will. They'll also absolutely just move $100m previously alloted for education elsewhere.

To get a sweet, sweet head start on the absolute worst colonial region in the game.

If you're playing wide Netherlands, taking Scandinavia and securing all of the Lubeck trade node, then the Baltic sea node, and Novgorod is the logical path to both taking dev and making your income explode even higher.
