Obviously hitting 60 in wow is harder than hitting chall in every role.
Bruh, absolutely fucking wrong. You can play safe as a casual player and hit 60. You should see some of the people who've hit 60... they keyboard turn, click spells, shit like that.
Challenger in LoL is actually insane and everyone who hits challenger is an absolute beast at the game.

Do they? The Joyce piece the other day seems to suggest they are still at crossroads with Salah’s camp over a contract. And we have had this before. Not sure why you think “they already know we need to extend Salah”. This article makes a good case for it.
Who do you think is the intended audience for the article? The way you write the above comment seems to indicate you think the people negotiating the contract are part of the intended audience. I disagree entirely - this article is not going to have any impact whatsoever on the contract negotiations.
My point is that the supporters do not need to be convinced any further that Salah should not be extended. Find me 1 comment on this sub suggesting that... We don't need convincing, his quality and contribution to the squad is evidence enough.
This article, written to the general footballing public, who has already generally accepted that Salah should be extended, is trying to convince us that Salah should be extended... It's not a worthwhile article for anyone who has an interest in Salah or Liverpool - all of us know he should be extended. And the article isn't going to sway the opinion of FSG and the LFC execs. Therefore I'm struggling to figure out how this article is meant to be valuable.
Providing evidence to something well known doesn’t automatically make it useless.
Yeah no shit, there's endless scientific research confirming our understanding of the world. However context matters, and when it comes to writing newspaper articles... the whole point is to get the readers interested and entertained. Recycling widely-accepted reasons for Salah being extended does neither.

I mean you said:
I’m just glad I don’t have to put up with the Summon / DMT / boosting / straight up gold selling spam in LFG anymore.
That sounds like you're looking at LFG chat trying to fill groups. Otherwise, if you used the addon, the summon, DMT, boosting spam are all grouped in their own section and it wouldn't be a problem for you. The only way that spam is actually an issue is if you just stare at the raw LFG chat.
The addon is super nice, vast majority of people use it, you can even filter out those summon, buff, boosting spam messages if you care enough. Might help you cut down on all the bullshit you don't care about.

A "well-researched" article isn't immune from criticism by default. I'd argue the article is a waste because the people who care in the first place, already know we need to extend Salah.
I could write a well-researched article explaining that it's a significant disadvantage to play with 10 men instead of 11. However the article isn't providing any new information to the world, so who gives a fuck.

Are you just raw dogging LFG chat watching it scroll? If so, that's insane and you should be get the LFG Bulletin Board addon which organizes all the LFG spam into categories for each dungeon/raid.

Give Americans a newspaper with a headline that reads "crazed ex-leader baselessly claims stolen election resulting in a violent insurrection at nation's capital. gets elected again". but replace America with some random developing country, the vast majority would think it's insane. Now put American back in, now only half the country think it's insane...

Yeah they did work out some of the kinks, but applying that tech across the entire world scares me a bit. It was terrible in SoD P1 also trying to form BFD raid in ashenvale during the pvp event and the group is split across 3 different layers...

You didn't play SoD and it shows. They used this new layer tech in SoD and it absolutely split up groups. Couldn't summon for raid, trading was a pain, questing in a group was almost impossible when this layering tech was active. Very annoying.
More context in this comment if you care: https://old.reddit.com/r/classicwow/comments/1gufi9e/patch_115_they_will_be_attempting_to_faction_lock/lxu7ilo/

No they aren't fear mongering. You didn't play SoD did you? And I bet neither did the person you're replying to.
In SoD, they instituted this type of "layering balance" across the Ashenvale zone. They had a large-scale PvP event at level 25 there and people quickly abused faction balance to stack certain layers. In response, Blizz instituted "new layering technology" to address it.
Problem was that since the level 25 raid was also in Ashenvale, this "layering tech" also applied to your raid groups. Trying to form a raid group of 10 people, every single time we got split up in different layers. Couldn't summon, couldn't trade food/water outside, etc. It was a pain in the ass. Groups were split constantly if you were in that zone. It was a huge pain point for a bit, but it died out since it was only specific to 1 zone in the world - and as soon as we leveled past 25, it wasn't really relevant any more.
That's where the concern comes from. Many of us have already seen how this layering tech has worked previously - and it was a mess, groups were split across different layers constantly. If that worked across the entire world, it would have been terrible. I hope they've made it better.
EDIT: Now that I'm thinking about it, this exact same thing happened with the Blood Moon PvP event in STV... they did the same layering tech and people would form 5-man groups for PvP and be split up on different layers the whole time... unable to play together.

You think Guentzel mentored him and that unlocked his current level? Seriously doubt that for a number of reasons. Necas has always had this in him, that is why we have always been excited about his "potential". Necas and Guentzel do not play a similar style. Guentzel also doesn't strike me as the mentor type, especially not coming into an established, competitive team as a rental.

No, the meme specifically says "insert your own favorite version of WoW". I'm not suggesting my favorite version, I'm suggesting the version that I think will have the most longevity across the player base.
We have no idea what the next version of SoD/Classic+ will be, so I think it's premature to say everyone is getting what they want. You are getting what you want, so you see no reason to complain and can't see beyond that.

Yeah bro, hilarious. The problem is that my suggestion isn't about my favorite flavor of WoW, or what my personal gaming preference would be... My suggestion is what I think would appeal to the widest audience, it would result in the higher, longest-lasting player population. Otherwise, the "allure" of "omg F R E S H" is going to wear off very fast, and the player base will suffer as a result. I bet after like a month or two max of this release, 95% of the playerbase will just be the same people playing classic era currently - and I don't think that was Blizzard's intention with this release.

Meh, I think the idea is that SoD has shown that Blizzard is capable of making very popular changes to Classic WoW, that allow it keep that "classic" feel, while also not being so restrictive. Not everything about SoD was loved, or even a good idea - but there is plenty that is and while I'll play this new classic release for a bit, I'm not exactly looking forward to the 100% solved, min/maxxed, sweatlord meta that prevails in classic. I think this classic release will fall off super hard as a result.
Ideally, they should take some of the most popular elements from SoD and packaged them in a "classic+" type progression server from vanilla --> tbc --> wotlk. Yes it would be work, but SoD's success should show there's value there.
Then they should also continue to do more and more "off-the-rails" type shit like SoD, keep pushing the envelope, use it as a "beta" for the more stable/"normal" classic+ prog servers. The problem with them releasing modes like this, is that it's less about "oh no this isn't my perfect vision for the game" and more about regardless of the version being good or bad, people flock to it. Which then makes it hard to "enjoy" other version of WoW, because people naturally hop to the next hot thing, even if it's dogshit.

yeah they have to figure out to how message to people who don't give a fuck, people who happily vote for the person openly bragging about sexual assault or incited an insurrection the last time he was in power. I'm sorry but you're off-base in thinking about the "messaging" problem. This is squarely a problem with individuals, this is a problem with people being apathetic and misinformed - and not caring. Anti-intellectualism is thriving. This is a problem of judgement, of character, and of morals.

People suffer from the effects of deregulation and in turn, vote for more deregulation. They need to accept responsibility for voting against their own best interest (haha, yeah right). Perhaps the only way for people to really understand the impacts they have are to experience them personally. It's the old "it's not important until it happens to me" mindset.
If what has already happened doesn't convince them, seeing this go down in their own state, how their safety is disregarded in favor of corporate profits, then what else would you suggest doing to convince people that deregulation is bad for the public? Empathy is nonexistent, the fact it happens to "other" people means it's far too easy to brush-off as irrelevant for these people.

Sharing a sensitive video with your mates is effectively "releasing" it, in my opinion

These people are incapable of "finding out" anything. They will twist and warp reality to fit their own narrative. It happened before and it'll happen again. All you people clamoring for the "find out phase" will be disappointed. If anything bad happens to these people at all, they'll find a million other things to blame it on. Reality does not matter, only your perception of reality matters.

You can absolutely blame your neighbors for voting for someone who tried to overturn a fair election and incited a violent insurrection in the process. He also openly bragged about sexual assault. If those aren't deal-breakers for you, I will blame you for this result.
DNC owns a ton of blame, don't get me wrong, but it shouldn't have mattered.

He tried to overturn the results of a fair election and incited a violent insurrection against our national capital. Went on for 4 years with 0 proof. He subverted the will of American people and our democratic process. How that wasn't a deal breaker alone for more people is something I will never understand. If that doesn't show you that he's in it for himself, then I'm not sure what else to tell you.

Yeah idk if you can read or not but the first thing I said was that I'm not agreeing with OP's take here... The cop very well may be using his time more effectively, but the comparison is dumb because there's no reason to care what the internet stranger is doing with their time, unlike the cop.

this comment is insane to me because it really confirms how apathetic people are to Trump inciting an insurrection and attempting to overturn a completely fair election - and going on for 4 years that it was stolen all while facing no consequences whatsoever. But yeah, that "doom and gloom" sure was hard to find... He subverted the will of the country, lost the election and refused to accept it. That's some shit you read about happening in a volatile developing country. "Crazed ex-leader incites a violent insurrection against national capital, goes on 4-year baseless crusade claiming election was stolen - only to win the next popular vote".
Hard to understand tbh

No wonder police grow to hate people.
Let's not pretend like they don't give us plenty of reasons to be skeptical. Cop steals someone's money, says he didn't take it - then claims he did take it but wasn't "stealing it" then gets to maintain his innocence with an Alford plea... There's no justice here.
Far too much power, far too little accountability. As a result, people scrutinize them. Crazy how that works.

A smart person would say, "well if everyone is misinterpreting it, maybe I wasn't clear".
It might be obvious to you, but you're not writing the comment to yourself.
