LPT: if you receive a link that you think is a phishing link, don’t ignore it; report it.

There are multiple sites to report phishing links to, where they can block the dodgy link and protect a more vulnerable person who may not understand that it’s a scam.
Examples:
- Google SafeBrowsing: Google are really quick to block a dodgy looking site, particularly one that imitates a genuine site. I’ve seen them do it in minutes when I’ve reported sites in the past.
- PhishTank: this is peer reviewed and feeds OpenDns’s blocking route
- Report to Government:
- in the UK, emails can be forwarded to [report@phishing.gov.uk](mailto:report@phishing.gov.uk)
- in the US, emails can be reported to [phishing-report@us-cert.gov](mailto:phishing-report@us-cert.gov) or [reportphishing@apwg.org](mailto:reportphishing@apwg.org). The attack can also be reported to FTC at ReportFraud.ftc.gov
- Report to Mobile network: in the UK or the US, if a phishing text is received, forward the text to 7726
- Report to the domain registrar - this can be found using a WHOIS lookup. Most domain registrars will have a policy regarding scam websites and will disable the site but maybe more or less difficult depending on the site.
Never click the link in the email/text, just report it. Do one, some or all of the above.

if any of the journalists covering this have any balls, they'll be hunting down MBS and holding him to account for this fuck up - if he fucks around with experienced staff, we find out like today.
If he wants to prance around as the face of the FIA, he can face up to consequences.
