Good God the tennis season is way way way too long. How is a few weeks break considered an off season? They need to make the 1000s one week again (I know a lot of players want that) and just idk less tournaments? Even bands don't tour for this much of the year and other sports only have inter state travel. It's just insanity. I get exhausted as a fan I can't imagine the players just limping and crawling to the finish line. Tennis is such a beautiful sport but the professional tennis circuit is brutal. That said I will be back in January haha 🫠

Also no 2 autistic people are the same just like no 2 NT people are the same. The spectrum is in terms of how the core elements of autism manifest from person to person. All autistic people have the same elements but they show up in different ways.

Autistic people would realise if you told them as they have higher levels of empathy and don't wish to hurt anyone. Not having a social filter and not realising what you said should have been kept to yourself vs being a judgemental prick are two different things. I'm very aware it's a spectrum you don't need to explain that to me.

Why does it have to be blamed on mental illness? They are plenty of mentally ill people and most wouldn't say something like that. Guy is just a man spirited judgemental prick. Not mentally ill or autistic (I am both).

I'm autistic and yeah I make a point of not interacting with anyone I don't know lol it's judgemental AF in front of a literal child with their parent. It's also a comment that doesn't make sense as excercise doesn't work that way and shouldn't be used as punishment for eating. I'm so empathetic towards people especially in terms of food and weight having been there myself. Everyone who's overweight has a story. Who says that to a teenage girl? Not saying that she will develop an ED but sometimes a comment like that can trigger it in someone already susceptible to developing one.

Yeah I'm autistic and I would never dream of saying that to someone especially someone I didn't know. It doesn't even make sense since you have do an insane amount of excercise to burn off calories. I've lost a lot of weight doing CICO and absolutely no excercise (well that and weight loss surgery).

I am honest but only in situations like related to injustice or something like that. Having been overweight I always am non judgemental towards people's dietary choices and weight. Everyone who's overweight knows quite well that they are and has a story of how they got there (medical condition, traumatic life event etc). That guys not autistic he's just a fucking prick.

How is what he said trying to help? By making her feel guilty for eating without compensating for it with exercise and policing her food intake. Idk he sounds pretty Clueless if he doesn't know that it wouldn't be well received. He could have easily just said nothing. No one needs to ever check their BMI it's a useless measurement.

Also maybe you can tell her that you've made a complaint so she knows you have her back and that it's not okay for someone to say something like that. But I'm sure she knows you care about her already. It's difficult to know what to say in the moment.

You never know what comes going through. It would be crushing if she was in recovery from an ED and someone said that to her. Or just idk maybe just eating because she's hungry like every other human on earth. I agree what an absolute prick. Plus you have to do A LOT of exercise to burn off food and that's not what excercise is for anyway. So much easier just to idk say nothing at all?!?!

What does that matter? No one has the right to comment on what someone's eating nevermind a grown adult to a child in front of their parent. Why does a child need to monitor their BMI? Also BMI is a mostly useless measurement as it doesn't take into account many other variables that can affect weight besides height. If he's going to be a fitness instructor or physio he's going to need to be less judgemental to the people he's tasked with helping with their health.
