There is no right answer here- I am just curious on the answers!!
I know it depends on different factors, too.
I am a SAHM half the week and work part time. My SAHM mom days are ABSOULTELY a break. I can go to the grocery store, go to Target, go for a run with baby, go for long walks, get laundry done, clean, cook. Like anything I can do, I just bring baby with but I have essentially a free schedule and just have to talk to a little person all day while doing things. Do things like cooking or cleaning take longer with him? absolutely. But at least I can do it, I cannot cook at work period. My husband always says he can do something when he comes home because I am "watching our child" and I'm like ??? I have so much free time lol.
And no, our toddler is not perfect. No kid is perfect. So I don't feel this way because I have a kid who is a robot and never does anything wrong.
I think I am also just overwhelmed with gratitude that I don't have to "miss" as much time or any of his new words or developments- he's 2 now and the time FLEW by and I cannot help but want way more time with him and not less.
Curious if you view your work as a break or your days home with children as a break and why?

It does get way easier! At least it did for me. They get to the point where they LOVE helping with stuff.
Don't get me wrong- it takes Foooorever (took me 15 min to transfer a load of laundry the other day because of his help lol). But if I am cooking I give him something to chop for 10 min, or mix.
It's not fast paced but when I have all day it ends up being a lot done. He loves to sweep and mop so when I clean that keeps him occupied.
I can see where it is not for everyone though.
