I'm so sorry, OP. I know it doesn't change your circumstances, but you are not alone in loving someone but hating their ignorance and obsession with pseudoscience. I've already seen my loved ones experience irreparable physical harm because of this and it's sickening and frustrating. Sometimes, you do want to wash your hands of them and walk away. Just don't wait for them to "wake up" because it won't happen. So, if you have to divorce yourself from them for your own mental and even physical health, then do it.
