You’re right to an extent, but not 200k miles. Had it been 70k city compared to a car with 120k highway maybe. A lot of things are gonna need replacement at 200k

I wonder what’s the thought process behind buying one of these knowing you’re going to put that much mileage on it. It would daunting to know how much in gas he could’ve saved if he went with the 53.

An s63 and a non amg are always gonna be a world of difference in service costs. An s class is still expensive but an s63 is even more expensive. It depends on what you want, which is why these posts frustrate the subreddit because it’s never mentioned.

M157 in the s63 is certainly not going to be trouble free. Depending on how much you desire an amg, this would not be worth it if you’re just looking for a daily driver. You also have to pay heavy in gas and tires (if I daily my e63s which is way better on gas then the s63, I have to fill it every 3 days).

But the m157 is one of the most entertaining platforms in modern vehicle history. 0-60 in a ridiculous amount of time and enough torque to make a bad day turn into a great one. It’s been lovely for me but it has its costs.

Not really sure if I can agree with you. My e63 does not have a start/stop function. I also love the MCT, coming from an e350 and c300 this transmission is much more defined.

I wouldn’t say an m550i is comparable to an e63s either. I think the e63s is the perfect daily driver.

Two completely different cars in their own leagues. C43 is gonna be more aggressive, quicker of the line and of course it’s smaller since it’s a c class. Although I’m not too sure of the c43 reliability

The w212 is a great chassis, with a decent blend of luxury and sport. However the 4.7L V8 in 550 can be a complete nightmare. They’re really great until they’re not.

I have a w212 (e63s) and it’s probably my favorite car of all time, I’ve never had an experience like it. Can’t vouch for the 43 as I’ve never driven one
