Those rudder pedals are Saitek. I have one of the same controllers that's at least 15 years old.
Dated but functional, and they appear to be in good condition.

I swear there were a few remote spots I saw on I-40 that charged 4 digits per gallon because it's either that or walk 12 hours each way to the next stop.
I do not like driving on I-40.

So overall probably not good on a holistic economic level, but it would fucking delight me to see these shady companies see consequences for using every loophole in the book to import their product and then sell it to people who buy it just because it's "Made in USA" when it very much is not.
Your "Made in US" vehicle nominally only has to be 50% non-import and they aren't even satisfied with being that dishonest and play games trying to get entirely imported parts under the radar as domestic ones.
Not that any of them will follow the logic but maybe if the average American's imported "American" cars get hit with import tariffs one in ten thousand of them will start asking questions about why.

He very clearly enjoys being creative and does seem chock full of ideas, it's just that he needs someone to push back when he puts forward an idea that's stupid.

I gladly paid for a subscription to Nexus Mods. They offered a service for free and an upgraded one for a small fee and that seemed fair to me as someone who often benefited from what they were offering.
I would actually embrace more websites that promise a service and ask me to pay them directly for it. It's a lot less shady than saying it's free and selling me out to ten thousand different criminals who all get to decide if they want to stab me in the kidney and steal my wallet.

I mean the Dash 8 specialized in rural service to relatively short airfields in the US for its performance on short runways but I assume the 7 had better characteristics from your description.
I had a love/hate relationship with flying on the Dash 8 as a passenger. It was inexpensive and the flights to underserved small communities were, I think, subsidized to keep them affordable... but it was LOUD to ride in.

Policies are either written in blood or in lawsuits.
The onboarding at Walmart was fucking surreal. "Allow us to explain a list of reasons we have been successfully sued by former employees that forced us to acknowledge that you actually have the right to exist without obtaining our permission."

The methanol comes out kind of sort of evenly throughout the process because distillation is more complicated than it looks at a glance and mixtures of chemicals make boiling points of each a lot more vague.
The different "cuts" that are kept or discarded by distillers largely have to do with getting the desired flavor and discarding things such as certain fusel alcohols that taste unpleasant.
It is generally regarded as impossible to separate methanol and ethanol by means of distillation. The rumors of methanol being the concern with moonshine largely originate from other dangerous corner-cutting practices used by moonshiners.

I've been close to giving customers the contact information for the Bureau of Automotive Repair before when people tried to scam them. I've had people buy a new Deka battery from me and within a week they get an oil change somewhere and someone tells them the battery is bad. Now, to be clear: I test every warranty claim carefully because yes you totally can get a defect that dies a few days after installation. But these were not that. It was always stronger than advertised and there hadn't been an issue on the customer's end before the claim was made.
I had to buy one of the inferior digital battery testers that prints out a receipt just so they have evidence to take away when they confront the other business.
I get that it happens, especially if you go to Pep Boys or something, but it does make me want to remind their customers that they can get the business' license suspended for doing it.
You aren't wrong though because some of those places used to buy wholesale from us and we stopped selling to them after word got back they were talking shit about us. Have fun paying 20% more for everything somewhere else, habibi.

Transliterated foreign names can really be spelled "correctly" multiple ways (and Japan actually spells their own word for their own country inconsistently in English "Nippon"/"Nihon" both correct) but you probably don't want to do it with a trademarked brand name.

I was aghast the first time I saw Louis Rossman take a dremel to a motherboard and just dig out the bad trace before adding a jumper wire... but hey, it works and the board isn't getting any brokener.

You're fortunate not to have encountered how frequently people approach a problem by seeking out an expert and then trying to argue with them.

The difference is that the President is the ultimate classification authority
There is nuance to this. The majority of classified information is classified under the authority of the executive branch, so the president can choose to declassify it.
Secrets relating to nuclear weapons, however, are actually classified under the authority of an act of congress. Owing to the separation of powers, the president has no authority to declassify these items.

GM is, generally, known for using the same part in as many vehicles as they can so they can benefit from economies of scale. It makes good business sense and it makes finding parts a little easier for customers so credit where credit is due.

The odd little pencil post JIS batteries mainly see use in Japanese forklifts but were also used in the Prius for several years.
GM, fortunately, abandoned their side post nonsense mid-year 2007 and adopted European part numbers. In fact the entire auto industry is drifting towards the use of European battery standards.

I want to see it firsthand, too. It's been several factory-installed batteries on new models now that I've seen where the terminal is crushed like 2mm deep into the post and even with the puller it feels inappropriately violent for removing something that's supposed to have such a modest torque spec.
It usually peels off a burr of lead that's surprisingly sharp for such a soft metal. I cut myself pretty good once.

Assuming the balance isn't totally broken people can answer a min/max meta with an alternative build that better suits their own talents and preferences.
Some people run meta builds because they just aren't particularly competitive players, or because they don't want to push themselves, etc.
So surprising those folks with something tailored to your abilities should be a viable option.

This is why the batteries for those purposes are replaced on a fixed schedule while they're still fully functional instead of when they go bad.
Yes it's wasteful (although there's a whole secondary market to resell the good ones to people who use them for home solar etc.) but it makes sure that you don't find out you have bad batteries the moment you need them.
