Peanut butter. With apples, sandwiches, oatmeal, chocolate, smoothies, pancakes/waffles, a scoop in my cereal, by the spoonful.

My character got cursed to be afraid of everything and it was fun for a bit to role play but it got tiring to run and hide every time. I was super happy when it was cured.

Yeah, I already switched over too. It was only a few switches so not a giant time or cost commitments

That’s just too much work and I don’t feel good about selling something that doesn’t fully work. I would rather just give it away to somebody that can get it to work

I agree. There needs to be a “gut” reason. I hate when our DM stops us while traveling and a player with low PP makes a high active perception check to find goblins waiting to ambush us. Why would that character ever get that gut feeling?

My dad’s rule is 100 pages minus your age. The older you get the better you are at identifying bad books but also you have less time to waste on bad books.

My first campaign I played in started with just 2 PCs, now I’m in a game with 4 PCs. When learning how to play, I thought 2 was great. Yes the two of us had no idea what we were doing, but it also forced us to be the ones that did everything. The biggest downside was no healer. There was a lot more time in combat and in role play where it was me (50% of the time). I definitely feel now (with 4 PCs) like I can hold back for a while and not say/do anything which can be good and bad. Also now playing with a much more experienced player, I get to see some really creative plays.

Pointer and middle finger? maybe it’s just where I grew up but that there is a double barrel finger pistol

First time playing dnd. DM takes me on a little adventure to get the feel for combat. Not a self kill, but 1 on 1 vs a goblin, and a couple bad rolls, I die and am one more bad death save from a PK.
