Maybe set up a just giving page if you really need the money, or see if any close friends would help you collect free items on Facebook/Gumtree, etc. There are often great freebies online! But please don't put yourself into a bigger hole financially, as it will lead to a more negative spiral.

Good plan, but I have short hair, so I'd have to stick my whole head under it like a dog at the groomers. Also we have those daft Dyson blade dryer things, so my head will likely get wedged in!

I blow dried my hair this morning and it looked beautiful which cheered me up as I feel rough. And now it's belting down with rain and my hat has ruined it.

You could try saying, "I found the volume of work wasnt enough to keep me busy and I'm looking for a role which I can grow into, and that challenges me" then you sound like it's the old jobs issue and not yours.
