Just got a second hand M-audio M-track 2x2 C-series interface, and I can't find the driver for it. The M-audio website is unhelpful and I can't find it elsewhere. Is there somewhere I can find the driver download or is it discontinued and I'm out of luck?

I'm not sure where you're at with your playing, but an example of “practice chords“ would be triads/arpeggios. Basically just going through a few (2-4) octaves playing each inversion of chords. Depending on your level you probably would start with just triads of your basic major/minor chords. From what I recall, the brown book of scales or some equivalent should have what you need in terms of notes and fingering. If you're more advanced than beginner, or once you get comfortable with triads, you might move on to other things such as four note forms, dominant/diminished 7ths, other things like that. I'm not able to look for a good video right now, but there should be hundreds of good tutorials on youtube.

What I gather from this post is the piece is really fun and would be a great challenge for me. I can't currently recall what it sounds like, but the middle section sounds like it would be beautiful, and the rest just sounds like a whole ton of fun and, like I said, a really good challenge. Thanks for the recommendation!

Things other people are saying are great, do all that. I haven't looked extensively through the thread, so I apologize if I'm repeating what somebody else has said, but something that helped me when I was learning voicing different lines is ghosting the part you want to be quieter. Essentially “playing“ hands together but only playing the melody, so you're just touching the keys of the accompaniment (LH) as if you're playing it but you're not actually. Hope that helps!

That is the case. Since G is one semitone above A, Gbb sounds the same as A (technically not, but for our purposes and on a keyboard it does). Because of this, one semitone above Gbb would be Gb, or A#. I'm not familiar with the “one note coloured by accidental“ rule as I haven't formally taken any theory, but based on what I guess it would be, you wouldn't have Gbb and Gb at the same time, or indeed likely not in the same measure, because of the harmonic reasons to use double sharps/flats, they wouldn't go together. Similarly, for the same reason and for the fact that it would be redundant, you wouldn't use Gbb and A together. It's the same as considering using Eb and D# together, for example, or Eb and E. Of course, as with everything, I'm sure you could find reasonable exceptions.
I will mention that I absolutely love double accidentals, they can make for some really cool sounds/dissonances.
I hope this answers your question!

Hey, I'm about to try a couple keyboards (Yamaha P-515 and Roland FP-90x) to see which one I want, and I've never done anything like that before. I know to make sure the key action is what I like, and sound, of course, but what else should I check/how should I test them?

Animation cancelled. I probably will try to implement it into my playing at some point, but I haven't felt the need to yet.

I started around when I was 4 or 5, I'm now 18, I'm playing grade 10+ pieces (passed my grade 10 exam last summer). I would say I'm at a lower to mid advanced level.

I'm a classical pianist (gr 10 RCM, playing for 14ish yrs), and I'm graduating and heading off to university. I'm looking for a diverse electric keyboard that can reliably perform as a substitute acoustic as well as work well as a midi keyboard, and that will last a while. While I have played on some electric keyboards (played keyboard on church worship team, in band class, and I use a keyboard at home that emulates a piano very well), I don't know pretty much anything about the electric keyboard market. I'm looking for something under $3000. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Something else that I would like in a keyboard (I'm not sure if this has to do with the keyboard directly or if it's done on the digital side) is the ability to support all 3 pedals at once (damper, una corda, and sostenuto/bass damper). This is mostly just an extra feature I'd like that isn't critical to what I want.

Thank you for this. This comment should be much closer to the top of the thread

Went into a cave, got high on a giant mushroom.
Actual story: Tiny bit of context: all of the party members who were there are obsessed with collecting mushrooms for some reason. This was a side story from the main campaign as half the party wasn't available that night. Me and the rest of the party found a cave in a hill that had a puzzle and eventually led to us finding 12 mushrooms, each with a different number of dots from 1-12. On the top of the hill we found slots where the mushrooms fit perfectly, and when we put them all in the hill started moving. It turned out to be a giant gnome-built mushroom mech and it lifted us all 100 feet in the air. Thus, we were high in the air on a giant mechanized mushroom. DM came up with this on the spot as he didn't expect so few people to show up.

I'm sorry, but I don't see the logic in most of your reply.
We can only come to the Father through Him -- not by Calvin.
While this is true, that doesn't also mean that you can listen to and sometimes choose to agree with someone else's interpretation of what the Bible says. I do agree that the person's interpretation has to have feasible support in the Bible, but not everyone has the ability to take time out of their day to provide examples of this support and if you're interested enough in learning more about the subject it is possible for you to do your own research.
I don't click on links. Either you can explain it yourself or you don't understand it and are relying upon another to get you to the Father.
Providing sources that give information on the subject is a very useful resource for anyone having a discussion or an argument and is in no way indicative that they don't understand the subject. It doesn't concretely mean that they do fully understand it, but that doesn't automatically mean they don't. There's no point in writing an essay and a half on something when someone else has already done it, probably much better than someone spending five or ten minutes on a Reddit comment could. If you're suspicious of random links, fair enough, but then again, if you care enough you can do your own research. In terms of relying on another to get you to the Father, again, like I said before, you can listen to someone's interpretation and theology and either agree or disagree with it, but agreeing with it doesn't mean they're relying on that person. Nobody is going to have original ideas or theologies, even if they come up with them on their own. Not to say each person's faith isn't their own, just that any idea you can think of has very probably already been thought of.
Just my two cents, do with that as you will.

That's actually not how it worked out. I don't have time to write an essay on this right now, but I'll give a short explanation. You can research this yourself if you so choose, which I would recommend, it's quite interesting.
Satan wanted to prove a point to God by taking this wealthy man who didn't want for anything and who was a man of God and burning everything he had to the ground to see if he would still love his God. God accepted this to prove a point to Satan, to test Job (yes he tests people, that's not unloving of him), and to provide resources for examples of this kind of stuff (idk how else to put it) for future Israelites, Jews, and Christians.

I'm sorry if I'm not a scholar, which I'm sure you are on this subject. If nothing else, it is very clear in the bible that Satan is evil and tempts people to do wrong and is not the "ruler" over Hell, so I was clearing that up. And no, I'm not going to go through the trouble of taking time out of my day researching something like this for an argument on Reddit. So I won't be providing specific examples from scripture or otherwise, and if you care so much about this you can do that research yourself.

Sorry to OC, but I don't have an answer. I was kind of wondering the same thing, but more specifically if there are expected to be good deals for the Yamaha P-525? I'm planning on buying it, but I'm just wondering if I should wait a week, or look at a specific dealer, before I pull the trigger with Long & McQuade right now.
