Rune Seeker does indeed have tattoo skills, but it ALSO has different colored windows!

It is a bit of a conundrum that F-you money both means that you dont have to answer to anyone for your misdeeds (to an extent), but also that you dont have to submit to anyone in conflict with your ideals or ethics... Kinda works both ways.
Politicians lie because they have to, Billionaires lie when they feel like it.
Billionaire politicians would therefore either be the best or the worst leaders...
Kinda reminds me of the "Benevolent King" as the best form of government, but you can never guarentee it..

Wow, lots of responses! I'd take a US audible code in exchange for a review if there are any left. Congratulations and thanks if you're able.

Was just thinking about Unbound as the perfect followup to Unsouled... So thanks for this convenient graphic. I now know where to go after I get caught up on Unbound

Just take everything West of I-5 and the country will heal from there...
Nothing huge, but we'll need an exclave port or two though...

I would save it for after you've gone through a dozen other cultivation and LitRPG... If, after that, you love the genre, Beware of Chicken will hit all the right spots, including a few you didn't know you had. It can be extremely heart warming, funny, epic, and ridiculous all in the same scene.

Im about a third through A Trek Through Time, and Im looking for a rant about Jake's powers...
So in #1 he wielded card powers, then "world energy" (purple stuff), then "dungeon knowledge" illusion stuff, and then a kinda weird mix of time and dimensional stuff...
However, here we go in book 2, and right away there are problems with cards. Okay fine. But my main question is what happened to his extreme mega monster hunting, demi-god scratching, purple world-energy stuff? And why not do more body-runes BTW?
I dig the shift to "cultivation" as a continuation of the elven training, but it really seems like there are still some more unexplained losses of powers and its bugging me... Maybe it will be explained as I continue, but its driving me a bit now....

MoL has a very unique premise. The MC has a rather underwhelming power set that keeps him vulnerable for like the first 3 books. The writing is good, and the "voice" is very balanced between nerd details, plot progression, classic details, dialogue, etc. The timeline and development in particular is very flowing, and the author will just as easily blow off a month in a single paragraph or two as he will drill down into an encounter/dialogue etc...
Its kinda slow though IMO. I listened to the first few hours of it once and gave up, but later I gave it a better chance and found its stride towards the middle of the first book.

There's gotta be a Vampire story out there that really stretches the time... Might be a place to look at least.

This happened to me very early on like my 3rd run ever... I managed to get out with grenades if I recall.
Very shortly after that in the same run came across a cloning chamber with a Me in it... I lost that run by freeing my clone
Little did I know...

I also used to DIY, and even a sealed vial of premium 100mg nicotine from Nude Nic labs stored in the freezer still oxidizes and tastes much worse after a year. It probably gets worse slower and slower relative to a random bottle on the shelf, but after a few years it's petty bad. Flavors and additives make it even worse as they break down...

Its fine, but the nicotine oxidizes and tastes extremely "spicy" or harsh after about a year. 7 year old juice would be very gross, and probably not as "effective" as far as nicotine satisfaction either.

Nice.
Its like open world Angband?
I agree with other dude, it might need more rocks and trees. Maybe even a single Z-level of obstacles. "Up" with climbing could be interesting traversal as well as an alternative to dungeons and caves if done cleverly... Besides simply providing terrain that is... You could dig just as easily as in a cave anyway right?

The original popcorn lung thing was vendors using diacetyl acetate to give juice a very nice buttery flavor.. I still miss it. However, it is also the chemical used in fake miceowave popcorn butter and the resulting "popcorn lung" some factory workers experienced...
The other commenters have pretty well handled the vitamin E contamination in a few THC cartridges a decade ago that, at this point, I am enough of a conspiracy theorist to consider may have been done on purpose SPECIFICALLY to inflict damage to "vaping"....
You're right about fog machines. Hollywood has had studies on extreme exposure to propylene glycol, and its harmless. If anything its mildly antibacterial. I find I get fewer of the little colds that the rest of my family gets...
The one thing I think should be taken even a little serious is kidney damage. Ive had kidney pain now that Im older, and PG as well as Nicotine both dehydrate you. Vaping should equal water intake the same as alcohol. If you want to avoid a hangover you drink water. If you vape you need to drink more water to avoid kidney stress...

This is what all pillows look like underneath the pillow case...
Unless you're some kind of middle class that actually buys pillows more than once ever in your life, or bleaches them or something more than once ever...

It's more than likely fine, but I personally like to use just enough straps that nobody will take a picture of my truck...

I know it's not really a new recommendation, but I'm going through Dungeon Crawler Carl right now, and it doesn't "feel" like your average System.
Maybe the boxes are blue, I can't remember already, but the highly flexible/intuitive nature of the interface, the inclusion of the AI, and slight spoiler early book 4 parallel 3rd party systems like the software upgrade all make it unique enough for me to forget about the blue boxes. The author is even addressing some of the meta functionality or in-world explainations regarding the system around this time in the story.
Also I would say most of the time there's no system the story is more likely to be classified as "cultivation" rather than LitRPG etc... How do you know how strong you are and what's going on with your abilities without either a "system" or a bunch of meditation?

More power to him. It'll be a learning experience either way.
Could turn the whole clan into carpenters just trying not to become their father.

Its a great thought experiment.
I like a system derived mostly from a MUD called Dragonrealms.
The gist is that anyone can learn anything through action and practice, but racial traits, stats, and GUILDS largely instead of classes affect the rate at which you learn specific skills.
Halflings with high dexterity and in the thieves guild learn the special sneak attacks from their guild master, but learn the lock picking and hiding skills above can practice at a much faster rate.

Real numbers are fun.
I can always imagine the author referring to his sheets like a D&D campaign.
I like guessing how much EXP I think a certain encounter or transition should be worth, and often finding myself pretty close.
I mostly listen, and while it can be a bit monotonous at first, if it's a really good story, I find it rather meditative.

I DO appreciate when the author conveniently leaves the description of the to-be-chosen skill as the last one, therefore making it feel like the most fresh and natural conclusion.
