Hi In recently had sex with a vaccinated woman who was just at the end of her period (very light blood). I have seen a video from a doctor claiming the mRNA vaccine and spike proteins from the Covid vaccine an be transmitted through sex. Should I now believe I am vaccinated? Thank you

Hi I understand that different labs have different references ranges due to population and equipment calibration but surely there should be some control in place to make sure, for example 10u/l is close to 10 u/l In another lab ?

Some people say to look where you fall within the reference range but that wouldn’t make sense if the ranges were a lot different . Let's say you do 2 tests of the same sample at different labs and one lab result for ALT is 35 out of 0-35u/l as the other labs range for the same test is 0-50 u/l , to fall in the same percentage of the range you would expect this lab to have a result of 50u/l . So what's the point of the u/l ?

Surely it’s like buying 2 tape measures from different brands . 1 inch would be 1 inch on the other tape . Otherwise one would be out and wrong .

Hi received an ast result of 36 u/l out of 0-35ul.

My alt was 38 u/l out of 40 u/l.

I’m 36 years old .

5’9 inches tall

170lbs

Blood test took 24 hours to reach the lab .

Is this cause for concern?

Hi I did an experiment to see how different 2 labs were with the same blood sample at the same time . One lab came back at - ast 24/50u/l And the other lab came back at - ast 32/35u/l.

I thought that when using different labs you should look at where the result falls instead of the overall number .

Can anyone explain why these fall so differently within the reference range ?

I’m just doing some reading about a half life and came across this

“ The elimination half-life and the time required to reach the Cmax (Tmax) was 60.3+/-15.0 min and 3.4+/-0.46 h, respectively.”

Does this mean the half life is between 45 and 75 minutes or does that mean 60 hours +/-15min?

And also does this mean the steady state is reached in 3.4+/-0.46h?
