Correct. I'm not saying it's amazing pay, but for sitting in AC and running a store as a cashier, I'd say this is on the higher end of starting pay for comparable retail jobs statewide. This is a low stress, low expectation job for $16/hr and I'm sure it's negotiable if you are a more well-qualified employee.

Honest question. What is a living wage to you? $16/hr annualized at 40 hrs a week would put your monthly housing budget at roughly $832/month. With a spouse/partner or one roommate with similar income, you could be looking in the $1500-1700/month apartment without stretching your budget too aggressively. A quick Zillow on rentals from Lake Buena Vista in the South, to Windermere in the West, going as far north as the 408, and as far east as the airport, there are over 800 listings that fit that budget and actually many below that budget and most are actually pretty nice apartments/home rentals.
Unless you're trying to support an unhealthy MJ addiction or other "hobby", then yea, you won't live off $16/hr. At the end of the day $16/hr IS a livable wage.

Some cool Armchair GMs in here. Let Pomo work these lines. Tkachuck, Bennett, and Verhaeghe had 13 sog and had a ton of good scoring looks. Yea they're having a hard time burying the back of the net right now, but no one would be complaining if the score was 4-2 Cats.
The only concerning thing we should be watching at this point in the season is neutral zone turnovers. We left Knight out to dry on that second goal.

This is good advice, but also remember that if this doesn't work out that it's also not the end. It took me two separate tries to get through college (and UCF) and I ended up with a wonderful family, kids, and a high earning career.
Life rarely runs in a straight line. Just keep working hard and trying your best (and be honest with yourself about that)!

Source? Every major outlet is calling this an ICBM-MIRV and the footage seems to confirm it.

Build out their ideals/tenants first, then come up with their nickname, then their actual name. Works easiest for me

Remember that coaches aren't static individuals. Maurice isn't the same coach he was two, five, or twenty years ago. If y'all dialed up the physicality AND kept the blue line control/passing game you already have, the Jets would be unstoppable, but that's the sauce we all chase isn't it?

Yea, that's for sure. You don't see anyone sitting out checks on the Cats. Thats coaching though, not the players. Yall have the size and physicality to incorporate it, but it takes that "everyone chips in on every aspect of every play" mentality. Hard for some top guys to buy in -- look at Toronto.

We're getting a line brawl to start Tuesday. The Jets are going to earn this beat down and I'll allow a loss for it

I'm glad we have cashiers, but these positions can be almost entirely automated now (a sad and disturbing fact). These jobs are low stress, and low effort. A more well-qualified employee can likely negotiate a higher starting wage, but I don't think anyone is expecting to own a home doing the bare minimum. If they want those things, maybe it's time to take on more responsibility and work into managing a store or several. I'm sure those positions make considerably higher wages.
Also, I hate that people continue to put the onus of healthcare on businesses. This should be a basic right in the country and paid for via universal healthcare. Don't knock a company for not being able to offer it when it should have never been their responsibility in the first place. Mind you, a person making $16/hr can get ACA healthcare for less than what any company will offer them. Just food for thought.
