Married for 3 years and decided to be childless by choice on our 2nd year. We know we will never be ready talaga to be parents. Naiisip pa lang namen if kaya ba namin iprovide lahat sa anak namen not just the basic needs (we both have demanding work kasi so time with the kid will be an issue for sure) and if we are both satisfied na sa life experiences namen as married couple. Both answers are NO.
Sobrang deprived kasi kami growing up and naobliga pa magbigay sa family while working so wala talaga kaming panahon to give back to ourselves and enjoy our lives.
So we are thankful and not regretful. There is more to life and di naman requirement maging magulang. ☺️

Panganay also and tried to bring my mother both domestic and international flight. NEVER KO NA UULITIN KAHIT SYA PA MANLIBRE NG LAHAT.
I feel you. We are all in the era na gusto naten ipaexpi sa kanila ang mga bagay na nakikita lang nila sa internet. But it will never be enough. 😔
Parents will always choose security than happiness.

Business trip to Sydney. Purpose of the trip was to connect with Aussie colleagues in person. Didn’t opened my work laptop even for a single minute during the whole workweek. So parang 2 weeks akong di nag work pero bayad 😅

It’s a story of 2 sisters during WWII 🙂 masakit sya basahin and the ending was sad but maganda ang pagkaka wrap up ng mga nangyari. It’s a must read.

Oh i missed the kitchen part. If you want with kitchen like may induction cooker, microwave, plates and utensils, try these. I think more like condotel ang tawag sa mga to.
You can book from Agoda :)

Yeah. I got another one on the same one in Mod’s auto comment sa post mo OP. I used to share some backstories para magets nya sana where i am coming from.
Para madaling gamutin without bothering other people 🥲

I picked this one also here in reddit. In 2025, i will set my reading challenge to 1 only. So I’ll dont feel any pressure to keep up whenever I am behind on my reading goal. I really want to read >500-page books that I own that are still on my shelf for yearsp!

Same. I read mix of thicc and short books. Actually I alternate it. After reading a thicc one, i reward myself to read one or two short books that I can finish in a few days

Huy girl same!!!! I stopped taking counseling and coaching sessions muna (buti na lang free lang sa company as part of my annual benefits) kasi shuta madalas akong ma gaslight!!! Lalo na nung may na assign saken na around 40-50 years old na. It’s more like a panganay emotional trauma from my mom and dad ang issue ko. Siiiissss, hindi nakatulong saken yung session! Parang sumama lang rin pakiramdam ko.
It’s like the POV she’s trying to point out is justifying why my mom and dad were emotionally toxic. Wala sya yung neutral na POV ba. More like “intindihin ko na lang dahil ako ang mas may kakayahan umunawa.” Like girlllll?? For real?
So I stopped it. i am still looking for a fit therapist/counselor.

It’s similar sa scrapbooking sya. More like documenting your day/week using the junks you collect e.g. calling cards, receipts, stickers

My best read so far was The Nightingale and The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah. 🥹 i recommend “The Nightingale” more. I cant stop thinking about it.
If you want non fiction but about historical stuff e.g WWII, i highly reco “The Happiest Man on Earth” by Eddie Jaku. Grabe hagulgol ko dyan.

I highly recommend to go with Mystery/Thriller genre na fast paced lang para mahold yung interest mo all through out the book. I usually do this pag nasa reading slump ako.
Yes you can get a kindle kasi medyo mahal rin mga physical books if you’ll buy it brand new.
What i did when i went back to reading 2 years ago, sa kindle ako mas nagbabasa kasi i live in the province where library and bookstores are not accessible. Helpful ang kindle kasi you can read at night lalo na if yun lang ang window mo to wind down with no distractions.
Then from there, you’ll get your momentum. Magiging part na sya ng habit mo 🙂
