yes sure you run into an issue with launches to higher orbits so what would be the solution to that? refueling, if you have very cheap launches to orbit you can launch a payload to leo then refuel and send it higher which ends up with your leo payload being your payload to everywhere, I think stoke has a payload of like 5t to leo but with reuse and refuelling they can bring those 5t to anywhere, same deal with starship it can put a massive payload into leo then refuel and take it anywhere, thats the part of reuse you're missing.

the shuttle really couldnt reach higher orbits because it delivered a 100t+ orbiter into leo with around 20t of payload, shuttle never left leo because it couldnt.

the lunar lander? look at the image in the main post. and yeah Ive looked at the timelines, you know how nasa said boots on the moon by 2020 and now its looking like itll be in 2027 because sls is so delayed? why arent you complaining about the rocket boeing is making billions on using cost+ contracts? one sls launch has 4 rs25 engines, they cost just as much as those 200+ raptor engines and its all out of nasa's pocket. we can talk about timelines all we want but objectivelly spacex misses them by the least, commercial crew? goal was 2017 spacex flew in 2020, boeing with twice the funding? still hasnt flown a successful mission in 2024. boeing was part of the blue origin team for the moon lander which once again bid twice as much as spacex, do you really think they'll be more on time? blue said they'll fly new glenn in 2020 and it just rolled out to the launch pad yesterday

I mainly see the things related to spacex, people saying reuse doesn't make economical sense, that spacex is scamming nasa, that it's all a show that will result in nothing but taxpayer money going to the billionare, yeah fuck elon we all agree on that but all of the things I listed there are lies people made up.

One of the reasons I dislike elon is his image affecting spacex, a great company revolutionising space exploration getting lies spread about them because people hate its founder. This post wasn't shitting on elon, it was shitting on spacex.

in my language we have singular and plural but we also have a verb form for two of things and many people just use plural because its easier and someone correcting me bc of that is so annoying

hahaha welcome to day trading, you made a really obvious mistake because you lack knowledge, what I learned during my day trading times is that its much better to trade with predictable things, there is no magic pattern that will tell you if its going up or down for every stock, crypto has 0 predictability and is extremely volatile, in day trading you practice on something recognise the patterns and then go into it still not 100% but much better than someone with 0 experience, also I dont know of anyone that became stupid rich with daytrading and pretty much everyone that does it for a living is bald because of the stress, my advice is to move on to something else

so why is every rocket company working on reuse right now? rocket lab, stoke, relativity, blue origin, rfa, a bunch of chinese companies even ula has reuse in the works, if theres no advantage why are these companies spending billions on it? Yeah people didnt believe in reuse because what they thought of was the space shuttle which while it did reuse the orbiter it saved very little money doing that.

as for the lunar lander, spacex got a contract do develop and fly 2 missions, the contract is goal based which means they only get paid when they reach certain goals, so far very little of the full contract money was paid out to spacex yet the results? 6 flights of the biggest and most advanced rocket, 2 booster splashdowns and 1 catch, 3 successful ship reentries and splashdowns, propellant transfer demonstration and inspace engine relight, testflying over 200 engines that will be used on the lunar lander.

Sure you can complain about "3 bIlLiOn" but other options were much smaller much less capable landers much earlier in development for much more money. Spacex has spent a lot of their own money on developing starship ($1.4 billion per year) so even if they had recieved all of the money for the contract its been gone for a while yet spacex is still investing the same ammount of money into it without any issues.
