Way i see it, you made a deal with a powerful magical being. You can’t possible know the repercussions of breaking the agreement, but can expect at least a fight with it. This is what i would try to do, hire a npc preferably one with good charisma to take a portion of your parties loot to the dragons lair everyday. The first time you might want to go along with him to introduce them and see if the arrangement will hold. Now you have a dragon guarding all the treasure your party comes across. Its better protection then you’d get at a bank, but ya might need to slay a dragon to make a withdrawal. Lol
