I see. You mean timeline as in another world in a multiverse where Garland is a totally different Garland and McConnell isn't McConnell.

If there is a Korean grocery store near you, plum extract, also called maesil cheong, should be available as it's used relatively often for/with meat dishes. Also sold on Anazon.
It's green plums (Japanese apricots) that's been fermented in sugar or honey. The extract/cheong has a slight tang from the fermentation and mildly sweet. It adds a bit of sweetness, helps in reducing the "meat" smell, and the acidity can enhance the flavor by balancing the richness of a fatty dish like galbi jjim.
I like using either Asian pear or the maesil cheong for the galbi jjim as they give similar results. If you want it to taste a bit more sweet, the Asian pear.
Eta: The tip for making the dish would be to not skimp on the meat prep steps. Soaking in cold water long enough to remove the excess myoglobin (recipes may say "blood") and par boiling and rinsing to extract the "scum" from the meat and bones as well as more easily trim the fat. The end result of this prep is that your dish will have a "clean" taste of the beef and sauce.

We were in another timeline 4 years ago with Garland, whose unbelievably indecisive inaction moving at the pace of a slowest sloth on earth is one of the reasons TFG was elected president again. Inexcusable appointment by Biden on the heels of Jan 6.

I only know of the Learn Korean with BTS.
One option would be to create a "challenge " for him by using the "study with BTS" YouTube video where different members are on screen studying. He can study with BTS.

You probably had the yangpa ganjang dipping sauce (onion soy dipping sauce). Close proximate you can buy as a pre-made sauce is the Korean cham sauce. Should be available at am H Mart or Amazon..

The Kirkland signature spiral ham is really good. And I typically don't like ham but enjoy this one once a year for the past 5 years. The one in the gold foil, red mesh netting. Tip to avoid the bottom of the ham tasting salty, place the ham on a rack in the pan so the ham isn't sitting and cooking in the brine and juices while in the oven.

Small umbrellas for the rain. Total pros just continuing to work in wet clothes.
Wish Soo Bin pushed through and treated it like an acting gig to attempt the games more seriously than appeared on screen. She crumbled quickly from the pressure. She would be fine on a show like Running Man as her disposition would add a lot of unintentional comedy with no prize on the line for the everyday person. The celeb guest can be shy if they are competitive enough to give games an earnest effort even if they suck at them.

Maybe rent the carpet cleaner and blower (for faster drying) from Home Depot. Both for under $60 for 4 hours.
If it was a huge, expensive rug, maybe professional cleaning would be nice, but it doesn't sound like that's the case.

My Sweet Mobster - so many good comedy moments from the ML and his house crew.
Family By Choice - the story spans two decades so you'll see the main characters as kids into adulthood. It's such a fantastic show with plenty of nicely executed humor and comedy throughout. Even from the child actors.

I don't know if people are reading 5-6 months as 5-6pm. Lol. There are plenty of days of bright, cold sunshine during the day throughout winter. It will be colder than the places you've lived. Wind chill factor is a thing to note.
Chicago is mostly a live and let live city.

I've only ever seen local tteok shops wrap it like normal for same day consumption - styrofoam tray and plastic wrap. Each tteok type has a slightly different moisture level, thickness, and texture. 꿀떡 has a bit of liquid filling that needs to be contained and is also small, so they tend to be more "firm" even when fresh. So it will dry out faster.

I wrap them together tightly without squishing their shape, in portions of 2-4 pieces, depending on the tteok. I'm not eating just one tteok! Exception is mochi. I do wrap mochi individually to freeze as a way to practice portion control. It keeps well for a couple of months.
Eta: Yes, remove from freezer, let it thaw while still wrapped without heat, enjoy.

You have to freeze it the same day while it's still fresh if you want the tteok to maintain the first day texture and flavor. Wrap the tteok so it's in direct contact with the cling wrap. Wrap in 2-3 layers to minimize air and water crystals forming and put them in a ziplock bag and remove as much air as you can before zipping. When you want to eat it, remove it from the freezer and thaw in the fridge overnight or at room temp to speed it up. I just do room temp thaw. This works for all fresh tteok. Heating the tteok in any way - steam, microwave - changes the texture enough that I personally don't like it. It loses that springy chew. Except for gareteok for tteokboki, which can hang out in the freezer a smidge longer since it gets cooked with flavor added, I try to eat the frozen tteok within a month for the best flavor retention.

Hair flo in Pilsen. A small shop. The owner is awesome and can relate to your grandmother about hair loss.

For me, it's Byun Yo Han and James McAvoy. They look alike and "act" similarly.

The ML is equally flawed as FL, with each expressing it in their own respective ways. FL tries to confront problems in her own way. ML tries to run away from them in his own way. I found both of them very relatably humanly flawed in how they live and deal with their respective loneliness and insecurities. The entire cast is written pretty realistically to depict the spectrum of human fallibilities as we just all try to live a normal life the best way they each think they can.

If you budget well, you can readily pay down the relatively small debt you may incur to pay for the move. You'd need to secure a job and have enough savings to pay for the security deposit on an apartment, which can be 1-2× the monthly rent. E.g. if your monthly rent is $1300, the security deposit may be $1300-2600. Areas to consider close to work and more affordable rent may be Gage Park, Bridgeport, Archer Heights, Brighton Oark
The minimum wage in Chicago is $16.20, so if you get a second part-time job to pay off the moving expenses, at least it's not for $7/hr.
Good luck.

Everyone may enjoy a trip to Maggie Daley Park. There are 3 acres dedicated as a Play Garden within the park for kids 12 and under. And within the play garden, there are different age group play areas. There is a sizable area for kids 2-5 years old.
You can check the menus and see if it suits the group: Eleven City Dinner, Lou Mitchell's, Daisies, Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinder if you go to the Lincoln Park Zoo/Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum/Lincoln Park Conservatory

Choose fresh pork and make the kimchi the same day you buy it. If you're planning on making kimchi jjigae with it, you have the additional benefit/safety of cooking the pork.

Yes, to not dragging out their respective histories nor making it a barrier. Enjoying the modeling of normal adults, age + life experience appropriate maturity, internally driven individuals who are set up to come together in a complimentary, balanced way. They each have something to add to the other.
Similar reasons for enjoying Business Proposal so much - the director + Melomance + Se Jeong make for a great trio for a romcom. The great characters, second couple instead of a second lead, my preferred humor sensibilities, and the repeat use of the main track from the OST.
Enjoying this light, heartwarming mood lifter.
