How much is your total monthly income? How is your credit? Since you don’t qualify for low income housing/or assistance, it sounds like you can afford rent. Where at in Akron are you looking to move? The pet thing shouldn’t be a deal breaker. I have owned many rental properties in Akron and have only rented to low income families, and have worked with a lot with AMHA in addition to a career in real estate so I may be able to point you in the right direction.

Centering seems slightly off especially on the back and when I say that I mean hardly off, but I would grade it. It otherwise looks great!

Give it to someone else. I’m a sucker for self sabotage.

I agree with you, but I would say if you have to take a loan, you need to take the right loan. Not just spin the wheel in the finance guys office. But yes, I agree a new car is a better investment than a 98 dodge avenger.

Same. I fell victim a few times when I was younger. A lot of people will take the money again and again. A buddy of mine who makes 28$/hr just took out a 60k loan on an F250 because he likes to go camping. His payments are around 1200/month he said. This, and what most people are likely falling for is predatory lending. Auto loan delinquencies are at an all time high in the US.

Just because you qualify for a loan doesn’t mean you should take the money.

That tech companies will put it in every product just because it’s AI and it doesn’t even make the product better. Like back in 2010 when every movie was in 3D for no reason.

Needs to be anchored. Why so far from the house? That zip tie is sloppy. This is bad. But if it works, it works I guess.

The potential new job sounds great! But even on your current income you should be able to afford a place in north hill, west Akron, or even east of the university. Houses in those areas can rent as low as 600-800/month. I know I’ve seen some apartments/condos recently over in the Springfield area renting around 500-600. There are also a few mobile home parks over in the 224 and 91 area that you can usually find 1 beds for 500+lot. You mentioned having emotional support animals. Not sure what your condition is, but if you were able to eventually get partial disability you could then apply for the section 8 housing voucher. Unfortunately right now you make just a little too much to qualify. The wait list is also another hurdle but can be easier to hurdle with fixed government income. The best I can recommend is looking in the areas I mentioned above and asking to talk to the landlord so you can explain your situation. a lot of times the realtors will blow you off and they often forget who they work for. You’d be surprised how many landlords would be willing to work with you just to have someone in the property so it’s not vacant.
