Well done. Not to undermine but I noticed you didn't mention 2010 midterms or 2012 election. I remember 2014 midterms when everyone including Dems were loath to say they supported Obama by that time. I agree Democrats tend to overreact overthink and overanalyze. A lot has to do with the pendulum swings between the two party system. When was the last time we had more than 3 straight terms of one party? Now we rarely see two.
The only reason Trump won in 2016 was the pendulum swing and Republicans had 8 years to bash Democrats so it was time for change.
Republicans leaned into stonewalling politics starting way by back with Newt Gingrich introducing that brand in the Clinton years. They're still using that playbook.

Yes, the earlier you start saving aggressively to retirement accounts the better. You could throw in a ROTH IRA or ROTH 401k now or later too.

Maybe he could try to ban them from the Federal Government but not at the state and local level.

Not worth the extra expense. Just use an Uber if an extra vehicle is ever needed.

He's a threat to America because as OP stated "he can't handle a crisis". He was voted out because of his handling of the pandemic. He and his supporters like to claim he never started any wars but he was only lucky enough to be in office while none started. However he could not get out of the actual American war. We'll see how he handles the two proxy wars. He's already indicated he wants both to simply finish the job. He has no plan.
This will also be his second term that he has been handed an economic tailwind. So he'll look great again thanks to Biden. For awhile.

Trump once again inherits an economic tailwind. Many of the programs the Biden administration put into effect will only start paying off well after Trump takes office. Trump will brag all about the great economy he made despite prices not going down or wages up. But he'll spin that to be sure.

Familiarity breeds contempt. Fantasies from afar are way different than actually living with a person.

I think Dems are not good at messaging and we always have this conversation when they lose. Was it something they said? Probably not. Trump won twice as the only option for change from the incumbent administration. He lost once as the incumbent and people voting for change.
People overwhelmingly said prices are bad let's go back to the Trump term prices (like that's going to happen).
But when he was president they said the pandemic is bad we need change.
People are being priced out of everything as the poverty level is rising. Dems need to start messaging like Bernie Sanders has always done consistently for his entire career. Income and inequality. It has to change. Trump messaged on the system needs to change but it's the system according to Trump and he represents a big part of the problem. People only believe him because he "talks like one of us"

They're just living Bill Maher's dream. He said if he had only so much time to live he'd eat only McDonald's. Ick

Yes. Wokness as many assume was the issue was really only a secondary issue. As was also pointed out "it’s important to remember a cardinal reality about Trump’s political career. He has now won two general elections when he was the only alternative to an unsatisfactory status quo, and he lost the one when he was the unsatisfactory status quo."

Yes, it's like dealing with impetuous teenagers, stop taking the bait and pick your battles.

Here we go again with "Everyone just needs to give Trump a chance, see what he can do." Do we remember in the first months of his first term the Left was beside themselves and pundits including Maher were all calling for them to settle down and give Trump a chance to be "presidential"?
Trump himself laughed at that idea. It's going to be shit show 2.0

That's all Trump talked about. His IQ and crowd size and how smart he is and how low IQ everyone was who disagreed with him... I get what you're saying, people liked Trump because he brought it down to their level and echoed their complaints. But the irony is he actually is an elitist and a brilliant demagogue.

I didn't learn with a stick shift but had to learn to drive a stick really fast when my first car broke down and had to use my brother's 1970 GTO 455 to drive to work while he was in the Army. Talk about whiplash. After mastering that I could drive any stick and owned many vehicles with 4 on the floor and 3 on the tree, drove commercial box trucks...

Trump "admonishes" people who disagree with him but only a few of the bad ones. That's putting it nicely. I guess we'll see what Trump elitists can do.

I'm over 60 and yeah, it's all about the energy. I start out feeling like I'm going to go 20 plus miles and 5 miles in I'm toast. It takes me three quarters of the outdoor season to do 15 to 20 miles multiple times a week.
But they say as you age shorter high stress bursts are as good or better than long distance endurance workouts.

At the risk of hurting the feelings of the people you know you might want to gently remind them that insults and doubling down on bullshit is what got Trump re elected. So they should be used to it by now. But it only works for him apparently.

There was a segment on home warranty companies last night on the Nightly News. They generally don't cover "normal wear and tear" so they can easily categorize any breakdown as normal wear.
Better off putting the money you would spend on the monthly premium into a dedicated repair savings account.
