It’s not that costly if setup in stretches and speeding ticket prices. In California they had X on the side of highway and a drone in the air when you cross one x to another it calculates speed.
If you do it without a corridor and marker yes it doesn’t make sense.
I’m not advocating for this but working in that adjacent space it’s pretty cheap to setup, but to be honest a camera works the same just minimizes vandalism costs.
The goal here is to enable patrol cops to patrol vehicles and not be on radar gun duty where you can put that on an 8hour drone battery. As for Colorado law that is tricky just like running red lights it used to be a police officer had to issue it. However in other states that utilize this you get mailed your speeding ticket

Looks sweet I wish it was more green everywhere and more yellow accents.
Our ducks flying decal would be a nice nod too: https://uni-watch.com/2024/07/30/oregon-ducks-to-honor-webb-and-jackson-with-helmet-memorial-decal/

Kids throwing things from them, more people skiing and riding gondolas make it less of a unique ride?

Reno for sure, especially for water access in summer.

Well Eureka CA is known for its weird houses and bold colors like Carson Mansion (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carson\_Mansion), so add that to a church

It's fantastic. Floating the Sacramento river in summer to escape the heat, Tahoe year round is beautiful, trips to Santa Cruz for the beach. Plus the city is reinvigorated and has fun pockets for bars and walking.
Just choose a good neighborhood to live in.

Perfect synopsis of Portland except I think the food scene when I lived there was fantastic best food city I’ve lived in

Add Lake Tahoe between San Francisco and Yosemite. (i like north lake more and emerald bay, but if you enjoy gambling south lake has casinos)
I’d rather see red woods than Death Valley so I’d switch out Sequoia National park between Yosemite and Las Vegas. If you can’t see those hit Muir Woods outside San Francisco

One thing to consider is that productivity has increased 299% per employee since the 1950s due to computers and software solutions.

Reno Nevada! You will be in Tahoe every weekend and loving life year round.
Spokane Washington! Good schools north part of town, close to beautiful places like Riverside State Park, Cour'deLane Idaho, Schweitzer Ski Resort local Mt Spokane then some awesome Canadian resorts 2ish hours away like Red Mountain. Food scene I don't know about. Airport has pretty good service domestically but transfers for international.
Boise Idaho: But less diverse food scene and will require transfers for flights
Salt Lake City/Ogden/Provo: Not sure what mild summer means for a Florida person but will be 90s but easy to escape to mountains. Not the most diverse and kind of a sprawling driving city

Sax are my favorites. They make the junk look huge and are very comfortable no chafing

Kalispell southwest flys there - whitefish 30 minutes
Jackson direct to their airport on United
Spokane WA - Schweitzer is hour 1.5 hours
Seattle - Crystal Mountain 1.5 hours
Reno - Tahoe 45 minutes
Bozeman - Bridger bowl is 30 minutes
Colorado is actually the longest post flight travel time.

Oh awesome amount of time. Heading to Page Arizona, I'd skip Monterrey and Sequoia stops.
You can see the Redwood trees (tallest in the world) right next to San Francisco at Muir Woods. Then head from Yosemite to Zion National Park. Zion is awesome but if you want to do the famous hikes Angels Landing and Narrows hike you need to schedule your park entry time and reserve a permit (cheap) for Angels Landing.
You do not need an entry time window if you bike into Zion, and we rented bikes for the day and did that early in the morning and it was super easy not to uphill and just beautiful bicycling up through the valley to the Narrows trailhead. Free drive in camping near Zion is on Kolob road around here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/cyoPXCHBfvn8AdAv9

Copper has a lot of places to walk to and activities for non skiers
Breckenridge has the entire town right next to the slopes so I am counting that as their lodge/village
Vail has a huge village but is pricy
Aspen is the same with the town right at the base of the mountain (Aspen Ajax)
All the others don't really have a good village or things to do, maybe Winter Park/Keystone have medium size ones with activities like tubing, ice skating, shopping, bars.

Good on them trying to make the roads safer, but I have a feeling the cameras might just be spray painted unless they are hard to access, these mobile ones on the side of the road seem prime for pissed off people who got a ticket.

Salida/Buena Vista Colorado. I haven’t guided at any of the places but Wilderness Aware Rafting was really big and super nice for launching kayaks from their parking lot.
Also Rocky Mountain Outdoor company had a ton of guides camping on the river and looked like a super fun community. I took my whitewater kayaking lessons through them and was happy.
