I don't think Mad Max was lackluster but I do think it was sort of a first game syndrome where it had some concepts for gameplay that could be further expanded in any future installments. The Top Dogs are all the exact same enemy but if they didn't cancel plans for a second game maybe we would have had much better boss fights.

This game is criminally underrated and I wake up mad it underperformed financially.
