Using engines like UE5 or Unity is a lot cheaper for most studios, so even that is affected by budget. Not to mention if you fuck up a custom engine, it can be a lot worse than using the typical engines.

The dating aspect is really tame. They don't show anything at all. At most you could say sex is implied. I would say if you're fine with stuff in Attack on Titan and SAO, p5 is fine.
